An advocate stated that by imposing an 18% additional GST on numerous services ranging from Ganga water to other Postal Department services, the government has placed an undue cost on the common people, which is incorrect and should be reconsidered.

Provision for GST has been made on Ganga water and many other things and this cost has begun on prescribed commodities, according to a letter from the department in post offices. Sanjay Kumar, Superintendent Main Post Office Bhiwani.

The renewal of international tracked packet service, registered printed book, post bag, and post box will all be subject to 18% GST.
