Ministry of Education Recruitment 2023: The National Council for Teacher Education is an Indian government statutory entity established in 1995 under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 to legally regulate standards, procedures, and processes in the Indian education system. Applications are requested from qualified individuals for the position of Chairperson, NCTE, on a deputation (including a short-term contract) basis. As per Ministry of Education Recruitment 2023 Notification the salary scale for the position of NCTE Chairperson is Rs. 75500 to 80000. (pre-revised scale of pay as per 6th CPC).

Qualification for Ministry of Education Recruitment 2023 are given in the following.
1. Doctoral Degree from a recognised university.
2. Experience of working as a Professor or equivalent in State or Central University or educational institution of State or Central Government.
3. Master’s degree from a recognised university with First Class.
The maximum age limit of appointment shall be not exceeding fifty six years as on the last date for the receipt of application.
The salary scale for the position of NCTE Chairperson is Rs. 75,500 to 80,000. (pre-revised scale of pay as per 6th CPC).
The appointment shall be made by deputation (including short term contract) on tenure basis for a maximum period of four years or till the age of sixty years, whichever is earlier.
