Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2023: The Supreme Court of India has invited applications for three posts, namely Law Researchers, Assistant Registrar (Computer), and Director (Library). The Law Researchers will be appointed purely on a contractual basis initially for six months, while the other two posts are regular positions. The Supreme Court of India Recruitment Cell has invited applications for the engagement of Law Researchers on a short-term contractual basis. Eligible Indian citizens who are law graduates can apply before 31.03.2023 by sending their applications and resumes through e-mail. As per Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2023 official notification candidates must be between the ages of 22 and 30 years, and the initial fixed consolidated remuneration offered is Rs. 50,000/- per month for a period of six months. Post 1: Director (Library)
Applications are invited from candidates who fulfill the following qualifications and other eligibility conditions as of 01.03.2023 for appointment to the post of Director (Library) for the Supreme Court in Level 13 of the Pay Matrix with initial Basic Pay of Rs.1,23,100/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

Post 2: Assistant Registrar (Computer)
Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible candidates having the following qualifications and other eligibility conditions for selection and appointment to one ex-cadre post of Assistant Registrar (Computer) in Level 12 of the Pay Matrix with initial Basic Pay of Rs. 78800/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules (approximate Gross Salary with HRA – Rs. 141706/- p.m.).

Post 3: Law Researchers
Applications are invited from Indian citizens who are law graduates as of 01.03.2023 for the preparation of a panel of suitable candidates for engagement as Law Researchers in the Supreme Court of India purely on a contractual basis on fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs. 50,000/- per month initially for a period of six months.

Eligibility Criteria for Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2023

As per the Supreme Court of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for open posts are given below:

  1. Director (Library):
    • Education Qualification: Candidates must have a degree in Law from a University in India recognized by the Bar Council of India or by any State Bar Council for enrolment as an Advocate. They should also possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science from a recognized University and a Diploma in Computer Application recognized by AICTE/DOEACC or an equivalent or Library Automation Course conducted by the National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources. Additionally, candidates must have knowledge and experience of working with any standard “Library Automation Software” for Housekeeping activities in the library such as cataloging, acquisition, and circulation, knowledge and experience of computerized search both of online and off-line databases including retrieval of desired information through various search engines/processes and knowledge and experience of any software for developing In-House databases for documentation work.
    • Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience as Chief Librarian or in an equivalent post (in Level 12 of Pay Matrix) in any prestigious library preferably a Law Library. Alternatively, they should have a minimum of 7 years composite experience with at least 2 years of experience as Chief Librarian or in an equivalent post (in Level 12 of Pay Matrix) and as Librarian (in Level 11 of the Pay Matrix) or in an equivalent post in any prestigious Library preferably a Law Library.
    • Age Limit: Candidates should not be less than 40 years of age as on 01.03.2023.
  2. Assistant Registrar (Computer):
    • Education Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications or B.E. in Computers or IT or B.Tech. in Computers from a recognized University or equivalent.
    • Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience under the Central/State Govt./Universities/recognized Research Institutes or any High Court. They should be holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department. Candidates should have experience of working in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration with expertise in Web Server, DHCP, and DNS Configuration. They should also have experience in working in client-server and web-based technologies, and LAN/WAN Network Administration (CCNA, CCNP Certification preferred). Candidates should have experience in Development in C++, Java, Python, PHP, My SQL, database administration, Postgres SQL, Oracle, System Analysis, and Design. They should also have knowledge of all the stages of PLC for Software Development and open-source technology.
    • Age Limit: The candidate should not be more than 50 years of age as on 01.02.2023.
  3. Law Researchers on a short-term contractual basis:
    • Education Qualification: Candidates must be law graduates.

For the post of Director (Library), eligible candidates who have a degree in Law from a recognized university in India, a Master’s degree in Library Science from a recognized university, a diploma in Computer Application recognized by AICTE/DOEACC, or an equivalent, or a Library Automation Course conducted by National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources, and knowledge of computer operation can apply. They should submit their applications in the prescribed proforma, supported by duly attested documents, and a passport-size photograph, and send it to the Branch Officer, Recruitment Cell, Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi, by 4.00 pm on or before March 31, 2023.
