KMC Recruitment 2023: The Chief Municipal Health Officer (CMHO), Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), Kolkata has invited Applications from Female Candidates duly meeting Eligibility for the Contractual Post Community Health Assistant (Urban) [CHAU] on a Contractual Basis in Kolkata Municipal Corporation under the Kolkata City NUHM Society through this KMC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement Dated 27.03.2023. As notified in the KMC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there are 30 Vacancies with a Fixed Monthly Remuneration Rs.13000.
According to the KMC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the Eligible Candidates with Interest to apply for the Community Health Assistant (Urban) Post should complete the Application Process starting from 31.03.2023 preferably up to the Last Date 08.04.2023 notified therein.
According to the KMC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, there are 30 Vacancies to be filled up with appointment of Staff Nurse.

Vacancy: 30 (including 14 Nos. for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates)
As per the KMC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Candidates appointed as Community Health Assistant (Urban) will be entitled to a Fixed Monthly Remuneration mentioned hereunder:
Monthly Remuneration: Rs.13000 (Rupees Thirteen Thousand) only.
Based on the KMC Recruitment 2023 Notification, General Merit Candidates (as on 01.01.2023), the Candidate should be aged as follows:
Age Limit: Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 40 Years
Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates.
According to the KMC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Mandatory comprising Educational Qualification and Registration and Proficiency for the Candidates remains the following:
The Eligible Candidate should have
I) passed Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife (ANM) from any Institute accredited by the Indian Nursing Council AND Permanent Resident of the District for which the Application is made; Or
I) should have passed General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course from any Institute accredited by the Indian Nursing Council AND Permanent Resident of the District for which the Application is made.
II) must have registered under the West Bengal Nursing Council with an Essential Proficiency in Bengali Dialect.
KMC CHAU Recruitment Eligibility
Selection Mode and Panel for Engagement: Selection for Contractual Community Health Assistant (Urban) shall be conducted on the basis of the Marks obtained in the Basic Qualification, a Panel would be prepared for Candidate’s Engagement according to the Rule. The Selected Candidates will be taken from the Panel. In case of any Vacancy arisen as a result of the Resignation of the CHA (Urban), Panel shall be utilized for filling up the Vacancy Posts.
