UPPSC PCS Result 2022 Declared, Girls Create History by Securing 8 out of 10 Top Ranks

UPPSC PCS Result 2022 Declared: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) announced the final results for the UP PCS (provincial Civil Service) 2022 exam. The result was declared on the official website on 7th April 2023. Divya Sikarwar of Agra topped the UPPSC PCS exam 2022. All the top three ranks belong to girl candidates. Pratiksha Pandey of Lucknow bagged the 2nd rank while Namrata Singh of Bulandshahr stood 3rd. For the first time in the state’s history, 08 women have appeared in the top 10 positions.

The UPPSC PCS 2022 exam was held at various locations around the country to fill 383 posts in the combined state and higher subordinate services, as well as assistant conservator of forest/range forest officer services. The UPPSC PCS mains exam 2022 was conducted in September and October 2022. 5,964 students appeared for the mains exam, of which 1070 qualified for the Interview phase. The interviews were held from 20th February to 21st March. 364 candidates cleared the interview phase from which 334 belong to UP and the remaining 30 from other states.

110 of the 364 selected candidates for various positions are female. In addition, 19 of the 39 candidates (approx 50%) chosen for the position of the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) are women. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, also congratulated the girl candidates for this historic feat. The UPPSC PCS exam process for 2022 has been completed in a record 10-month time, which is the earliest in the history of the UPPSC PCS examination.

Step 3: A pdf containing the name, roll number, and category of successful candidates will appear on the screen
