Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023: Union Bank of India, a leading listed Public Sector Bank with its head office in Mumbai, has invited online applications for the recruitment of meritorious female sportspersons. As per the Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Bank has published a recruitment notification for 11 vacancies for the post of Single Window Operator- ‘A’/Clerk in Hockey. The basic pay scale for the post is Rs. 17,900-47,920, and in addition to this, special allowance, dearness allowance, and other allowances will be payable as per prevailing rules and regulations in the Bank. As per the Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, interested candidates can apply online for the post from April 19, 2023, and the last date for payment of fees and submitting the online application is May 9, 2023.

It is important for the candidates to fulfill the eligibility criteria specified by the Bank before applying for the post. As per the Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria include documents in support of their identity, eligibility pertaining to category, nationality, age, educational qualifications, etc. The Bank has also mentioned that no change of category will be permitted at any stage after the registration of the online application, and the result will be processed considering the category which has been indicated in the online application, subject to guidelines of the Government of India/Bank in this regard. Eligibility Criteria for Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023:

As per the Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for the Single Window Operator-‘A’/Clerks position require that the candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated to India from specific countries.

The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 28 years for all general and EWS category candidates. Educational qualification requires the candidate to hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

For sports qualifications, the candidate must have represented the country in international competitions or any state, district, university, or school team in the respective game or sports discipline for which recruitment is to be conducted by the Bank. At the time of appointment, the candidate must be an active sportsperson, and the last participation should be within one year prior to the date of the recruitment notification. Age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes (Non-creamy layer).

Selection Process for Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023:

As per the Union Bank of India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for a notified post will have three phases: Sports Proficiency, Field Trial, and Written Test. In the first phase, the applicants will be ranked based on their Sports Proficiency and evaluated on the basis of their participation and achievements in recognized tournaments/events in the immediately preceding three financial years. Shortlisted candidates will be called for further process in the ratio of 1:10. The tournaments/events will be evaluated in descending order of importance, and the best three performances only in each of the immediately preceding three financial years will be considered for evaluation.

In the second phase, candidates will be called for field trials to assess their proficiency and fitness. The field trial will be of 100 marks, and the minimum qualifying marks will be 50%. In the third phase, candidates who qualify in the Field Trial will be called for a Written Test, which will be of 1-hour duration consisting of objective multiple-choice questions in English and Hindi comprising of 50 marks.

The merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in all three phases will be prepared in descending order, and the final selection will be made on the basis of this merit list up to the number of vacancies. The decision of the Bank will be final and binding on the candidate in case of a tie. Success in any phase of the selection process confers no right to appointment unless the Bank is satisfied that the candidate is suitable in all respect for the post. Finally, it is worth noting that all field trials will culminate in the prescribed dope test.

After payment, candidates should take a printout of the e-receipt and the online application form containing fee details. Candidates should not send the printout of the application form to the bank.
