UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Government of India has called in Online Applications from the Candidates Eligible for 04 Posts with 09 Vacancies having occurred under Pay Scale Level 10 (Rs.56100-177500), Pay Scale Level 09 (Rs.53100-167800) and Pay Scale Level 07 (44900-142400) in the Pay Matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission vide this UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification. According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement Total 09 Vacancies comprising all 04 Posts are 01) Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (Natural Resource Management/Rainfed Farming System) (02 Vacancies), 02) Additional Assistant Director (Safety) (03 Vacancies), 03) Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology) (01 Vacancy), and 04) Supervisor Inclusive Education District (03 Vacancies).

Age Limits for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

01) Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (Natural Resource Management/Rainfed Farming System)

Age Limits:

A) Not to exceed 35 Years for 1st, 3rd and 4th Posts.

B) Not to exceed 35 Years for 2nd Post.

Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates are explained in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notifications.

1) The Un-Reserved Applicant should not exceed (Maximum) on the Closing Date of the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.

2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligibility Criteria comprising Essential Educational Qualifications, Desirable and Experience among others may be briefly read as hereunder:

01) Assistant Soil Conservation Officer (Natural Resource Management/Rainfed Farming System)

Essential Educational Qualification: i) Master’s Degree in the relevant Subject.

Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in the Post-specific field including Agro-Forestry Projects in the Central Government Or State Government Department Or Union Territory Administration Or Accredited Research Institution Or Agricultural University Or Public Sector undertaking Or Semi-Government Or Autonomous Or Statutory Organization.

02) Additional Assistant Director (Safety)

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Marine/Production/Industrial/ Instrumentation/Civil Engineering/Architecture/Textile/Textile Chemistry/Textile Technology/Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication of a recognized University /Institute

Desirable Education(s): 01-Year’s Experience in handling various aspects of Industrial Safety in a Factory, Dock Safety.

03) Scientist ‘B’ (Toxicology)

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Pharmacy/ Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the Subjects during all 03-Years of Bachelor of Science from any duly Recognised University/Institute

Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in Analytical Methods and Research therein in the field of Toxicology from a Government Recognised Organization/ Institution.

Desirable Qualification: 01-Year’s Experience of working in a Forensic Science Laboratory under the Central Government Or State Government Or Union Territory Administration post-obtained Minimum Prescribed Educational Qualifications.

04) Supervisor Inclusive Education District

Essential Educational Qualification:

i) Master’s Degree in relevant Subject.

ii) B.Ed. with Diploma/PG Professional Certificate/ PG Diploma/Secondary Level Teacher Training Course/Senior Diploma/B.A.B.Ed.; With

iii) Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)

Experience: 03-Years’ Experience in the field of Special Education or Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities.

Selection Process for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry out the Recruitment Test Selection and Other Criteria with reference to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification which is also explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology:

In the event of the Applications received relatively in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission will adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:

a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs) if more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

b) On the basis of Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Notification.

c) Based on Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the Ministry of Mines Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquiring Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.

e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

Note-II: Important Points:

Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks explained hereunder:

i) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:

a) Un-Reserved Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks

b) Economically Weaker Sections 50 Marks

c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks

d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Caste/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.

ii) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:

I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five only) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.

II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
