SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Shipping & Waterways, Government of India has called in Applications from the Competent Officers for Appointment on Deputy Director-I Post Marine Department by Absorption under Kolkata Dock System of Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata vide SM PORT Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
According to the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Deputy Director-I in Marine Department is to be filled up in Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority in the Pay Scale Rs. 36600-62000 (Revised Rs. 90000-240000) by Absorption through Composite Method under Kolkata Dock System of SMP, Kolkata. Eligible Officers may submit their respective Applications in the Prescribed Application Proforma well ahead of the Last Date 22.05.2023
The Cadre Controlling Authority may forward an Advance Copy of duly completed Applications in respect of the Eligible Officers in the prescribed Pro-forma (Annexure-II) with all the Enclosures in a superscripted Envelope to the Concerned Authority at the Concerned Major Ports within 15 Days from the Closing Date of the Application, hence, the Crucial Date is 06.06.2023.

Pay Scale: Pay Scale Rs. 36600-62000 (Revised Rs. 90000-240000)
As has been notified in the SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Eligibility Criteria comprising Educational Qualification and Experience Mandatory for Deputy Director-I Post is as explained therein.
Essential Qualifications:
Educational: Certificate of Competency as Master (FG)/Dredge Master Grade-I issued by the MoS Or Equivalent Or 1st Class MoT.
Experience: 12 Years’ Experience in the Marine Services of any Port of which 05-Years in the Senior Administrative Position.
For Absorption through Composite Method:
Essential: The Officers holding Analogous Post Or the Post Deputy Director and Equivalent Post within 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Grade in any Major Port Trust.
For Deputations Method:
Essential: The Officers holding Analogous Post Or the Post Deputy Director and Equivalent Post in the Pay Scale 36600-62000 with 03-Years’ Regular Service in the Grade in any Government Public Sector Undertaking Or Autonomous Bodies.
According to SM PORT Authority Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, Selection on Deputy Director-I shall be carried out by Merit for which Overall Grading in the Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) shall not be Belo “Very Good”.
Mandatory Documents for Submission with the Candidate’s Application:
Eligible Candidate’s Application should be annexed with the following:
i) Certified copies of Annual Confidential Reports/Annual Performance Appraisal Reports for the Last 05 Years, duly attested by any Officer not below the Rank of Deputy Head of Department on each Page.
The Benchmark in overall Grading of Previous 05 (Five) Years’ Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) should be Minimum/should not be below ‘Very Good’.
According to the SM Port Authority Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, duly completed Applications of the Officers should be receivable by 22.05.2023 and the Last Date for receipt of the Advance Copy is 06.06.2023.
