GSL Recruitment 2023: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Consultant in various departments on a contract basis. As per the GSL Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 04 vacancies. Selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 01 years. Depending on the needs of the Company and the performance of the Person Engaged, the contract term may be extended for a further period of one year at a time, or a portion thereof, until the person reaches the age of 65.

Qualification Required for GSL Recruitment 2023:

Mention below is the qualification required for GSL Recruitment 2023:

Consultant (Technical Services)

Candidates should have a Full-time regular Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Naval Architecture from a recognized University /AICTE-approved institution.

Consultant (Production)

Candidates should have a Full-time regular Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Mechanical/Production/Electronics/Electrical/Shipbuilding/ Naval Architecture from a recognized University /AICTE-approved institution.

Consultant (Technical Services- Weapons)

Candidates should have Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution with 10 years of relevant work experience in the design of shipbuilding activities in PSUs/Govt/Private. OR Candidate with 20 years of relevant work experience in the design of shipbuilding activities in PSUs/Govt/Private.

Consultant (HVACR)

Candidates should have Diploma in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a recognized institution/AICTE-approved institution with 10 years relevant work experience of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in PSUs/Govt/Private OR Candidate with 20 years relevant work experience of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning in PSUs/Govt/Private. A certification course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning will be added advantage.

Experience Required for GSL Recruitment 2023:

Mention below is the experience required for GSL Recruitment 2023:

Consultant (HVACR)

Candidates should have a minimum 10 or 20 years of working experience (as applicable) in the relevant field. The candidate should have knowledge of heat load calculation, Ventilation systems, Dust collectors / Fume extractors, and be Conversant with the ISHRAE / ASHRAE standards. In case of retired PSU executives, they should have superannuated in the pay scale of Rs. 30,000- 1,20,000 (E0) and above or equivalent level in case of officers retired from Central/State Government / Indian Navy/Army/Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. Working knowledge of Chiller plant, Chilled water system and its distribution, Cooling water distribution, Cooling towers, Air Handling Units, and Air Distribution system Building Automation system (BAS). Experience in handling alarm monitoring and detection, scheduling operations, tracking faults and managing preventive maintenance will be desirable.

Consultant (Technical Services)

Candidates should have a minimum 20 years of relevant work experience in ship design for shipbuilding-related organizations. Candidate should have experience in leading a design team for successful completion of at least 2 nos of projects for Indian Coast Guard / Indian Navy. In the case of retired PSU executives, they should have superannuated in the pay scale of Rs. 1,00,000- 2,60,000 (E7) and above or equivalent level in case of officers retired from Central/State Government / Indian Navy/Army/Air Force and Indian Coast Guard.

Consultant (Production)

Candidates should have minimum 20 years of working experience in hull construction/repairs of Naval vessels/ Coast Guard vessels. Should have been head of a Production department in a major shipyard for more than 01 year. Should have sound knowledge of hull construction activities for Naval/ Coast Guard ships. Should have adequate experience in outsourcing of hull construction activities and monitoring/control. In case of retired PSU executives, they should have superannuated in the pay scale of Rs. 1,00,000- 2,60,000 (E7) and above or equivalent level in case of officers retired from Central/State Government / Indian Navy/Army/Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. Relevant managerial work experience in Ship Building includes experience in Fabrication, Fitting & alignment, Production Planning & in Project Management. Candidates having experience in Designing, Planning, Quality Assurance and Production of ship / Submarines will be preferred. Sound knowledge of Production techniques, and command over NES / IRS/ABS Standards.

Consultant (Technical Services- Weapons)

Candidates should have Minimum 10 or 20 years of experience (as applicable) in integrating Electrical PGD, Navigation & Communication Systems, Weapons & Sensors for various platforms by incorporating the Class rules and Owners requirements. In the case of retired PSU executives, they should have superannuated in the pay scale of Rs. 30,000-1,20,000 (E0) and above or equivalent level in case of officers retired from Central/State Government / Indian Navy/Army/Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. Experience in computer-based state-of-the-art Instrumentation & weapon control on board Indian Navy/ Coast Guard Ships. Proficiency in Computer-based data management & record keeping. Clear understanding of electrical schematics of electrical/electronic equipment & systems. Familiarity with various systems like Electrical PGD systems, Navigation & Communication Systems, Weapons & Sensors. Experience onboard NOPV/ CG OPV / Frigates/ Missile crafts will be added advantage. Knowledge of working on ERP system, AUTOCAD.
