UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Government of India has called in Online Recruitment Applications from Professionals Eligible for the Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II Group ‘A’ Post in the Department of Defence Research and Development (DDRD), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) of the Ministry of Defence  (MoD) vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.   The UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification having been issued for Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II has arisen with 20 Vacancies to be filled up in Group ‘A’ Gazetted, General Central Service, Ministerial Post Classification in the Pay Matrix Level-10 in Pay Matrix (Rs. 56100-177500). Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Notified Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II Group ‘A’ Post to be filled up in the DRDO Head Quarter, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi with the All India Service LiabilityTotal 20 Vacancies are Inclusive of 10 Posts earmarked for the Candidates in the Un-Reserved Category.

The UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has arisen with 01 Post to be filled up against 20 Vacancies narrated hereunder:

Post Nomenclature: Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II Group ‘A’ Post

Vacancy:  20 Nos. (with 10 Vacancies earmarked for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates)

Post Classification: Group ‘A’ Gazetted, General Central Service, Ministerial

Employment nature: All India Service Liability. The Posting remains Permanent.

Posting Establishment: Defence Research & Development Organization Head Quarter, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. However, the Officers appointed in to the Service shall remain liable to serve anywhere in India.

Pay Matrix Level under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Individuals selected for Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II Post, shall be entitled to the Monthly Salary in the Pay Matrix Level 10 post-Appointment, to be read hereunder:

Upper Age Limits under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the following Category-wise and Reserved Community-specific Age Limits (as on the Closing Date 10.08.2023) are to be read hereunder:

1) The Un-Reserved Category: The Candidate should not exceed 35 Years.

2) The Upper Age Limitation for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants remains Relaxable up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

3) For Age Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, the Applicants should refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection” of the UPSC-issued Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.

Eligibility for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Eligibility, in accordance with the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience Mandatory for the Applicants may be read as follows:

Essential Qualification(s):  The Willing Eligible Candidates should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:

I) Educational: A Bachelor’s Degree from any Duly Recognized University or Institution.

II) Experience: 03 (Three) Years’ Experience of Administration Or Establishment Or Accounts Work.

Note: The Educational Qualifications and the Qualifications with regard to Experience in respect of the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.

Selection Procedure under UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Based on the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria for the Notified Post Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II also explained hereunder:

Recruitment Methodology:

In the event the Applications received relatively in large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission may adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:

a) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), in case more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.

b) Based on the Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.

c) On the basis of the Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.

d) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.

e) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).

f) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).

Note-II: Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:

As has been explained in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for Selection on Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II Group ‘A’ Post, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:

I) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through an Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:

a) Un-Reserved (UR)  Category: Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks

b) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 50 Marks

c) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks

d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBDs): 40 Marks.

II) In cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.

Application Fee for UPSC Recruitment 2023:

Following is the Category-wise Application Fee and Payment Gateway for remittance by the Applicants:

I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.

II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
