For Assistant Professor-

• For a fresh candidate should have a PhD, the position will be on a contract basis for the first three years and may be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of teaching/research / industrial experience (excluding, however, the period of pursuing a Ph.D.) regular appointments can be made. Candidate should have demonstrated research capabilities in terms of publications in reputed journals and conferences.

For Associate Professor-

• Candidate should have a minimum of 6 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which a minimum of 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (at Pay level 12) in IITs / IISc Bangalore /IIMs /IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian/Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards/Senior Scientist in the reputed National/International research organizations/ Industries. The candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent research in terms of guidance of PhD students, publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.

For Professor-

• Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs/ IISc. Bangalore / IIMs/ IISERs or in the institutes of national importance or Indian / Foreign Institutes of equivalent standards / Senior Scientist in reputed National / International Research Organizations / Industries. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of PhD students, a strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development, and/or other recognized relevant professional activities.

Salary for IIT Dhanbad Recruitment 2023: 

According to the official notification of IIT Dhanbad Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates for the given positions will receive a monthly salary between Rs.139600 to Rs.204700.

• For Assistant Professor- The selected candidate will receive a pay scale of Level 12 Rs.101500 to Rs.167400.
• For Associate Professor–  The selected candidate will receive a pay scale of 7th CPC Pay Level 13A2, Minimum Pay of Rs.139600.
• For Professor-  The selected candidate will receive a pay scale of 7th CPC Pay Level 14A, Minimum Pay of Rs. 159100.

Selection Procedure for IIT Dhanbad Recruitment 2023: 

As stated in the official notification of IIT Dhanbad Recruitment 2023, applicants will be chosen based on interviews to be conducted in this regard. Applicants working in Government or Semi-Government Organisations must have a “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from their employer at the time of the interview. A mere fulfilment of minimum qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted for the selection process.
