Educational Qualifications for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

• The candidate should have a recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part-II of the third Schedules should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section-13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
• The candidate should have postgraduate degrees in the concerned speciality or its equivalent qualifications.
• The candidate should have at least 3 years of teaching experience as a Lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrators/Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognized Medical College.

Desirable-

• The candidate should have Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
• Publication of research papers in Index Journals.

Age Limit for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

• The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 45 years on or before 01- 01-2024.
• The maximum age limit is relaxable by 5 years for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disabilities, and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh, as declared by the government from time to time.

Selection Process for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the method of selection is based on the Screening Tests/ Examinations (Computer Based Test or Offline Test) and Personality Test. The examination will consist of Paper- I and Paper II.

Paper- I –

This paper will be of 100 marks and there will be objective-type (multiple-choice) questions.

• General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh = 30 Marks
• General knowledge of National and International Affairs = 30 Marks
• Knowledge of the Hindi language = 20 Marks
• Knowledge of the English language = 20 Marks

Paper-II-

• A descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) of 03 hours duration having 120 marks as per the syllabus to be decided by the Commission from time to time.
