SSC Recruitment 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is accepting applications from capable candidates for the posts of Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator and Senior Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations. As stated in the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2024, the chosen applicants will be paid a salary of up to Rs. 142400 per month. The applicant’s age limit should be in the range of 18 to 30 years.
Referring to the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2024, there are a total of 312 vacant seats for the aforesaid positions. The applicant must hold a Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. The applicants should deposit an application fee of Rs. 100 through online mode. The mode of selection will be based on Paper I (Computer-Based Examination) and Paper II (Descriptive). In accordance with the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2024, skilled and qualified candidates can apply online through the official website of SSC on or before the last date.

For post codes ‘A’ to ‘C’ (Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator)-
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of an examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
For post codes ‘D’ (Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator)-
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; or
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level. OR
The candidate should have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level and Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English & vice versa or three years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.
Application Fee for SSC Recruitment 2024:
According to the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2024, the candidates must deposit an application fee of Rs.100 online by BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards. The women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Process for SSC Recruitment 2024:
Based on the official notification of SSC Recruitment 2024, the mode of selection will be based on Paper I (Computer-Based Examination) and Paper II (Descriptive).
Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination): The questions will be designed to test the candidate’s‟ understanding of the languages and literature, correct use of words, phrases and idioms and ability to write the languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The questions will be of degree level.
Paper-II (Translation and Essay): This paper will contain two passages for translation – one passage for translation from Hindi to English and one passage for translation from English to Hindi, and an Essay each in Hindi and English, to test the candidates‟ translation skills and their ability to write as well as comprehend the two languages correctly, precisely and effectively. The level of the paper will be consistent with the educational qualifications prescribed.
