Posts and Vacancies in APSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the APSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, there are 02 Posts with 02 Vacancies notified hereunder:

01) Assistant Archivist: 02 Vacancies

02) Assistant Librarian: 01 Vacancy

Monthly Salary under APSC Recruitment 2023:

The Candidates selected on the Opted Posts I) Assistant Archivist and II) Assistant Librarian shall be entitled to the Monthly Salary in Pay Band 02

01) Assistant Archivist: Pay Band 02 (Rs.14000-60500 with Grade Pay Rs.8700)

02) Assistant Librarian: Pay Band 02 (Rs.14000-60500 with Grade Pay Rs.7600)

Age Limits for APSC Recruitment 2023:

Based on the APSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Age Limit (As on 01.01.2023) for Un-Reserved Category Candidates is as follows:

I) The Candidates should be neither Lesser than 21 Years Nor More than 40 Years.

II) Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates may be read hereunder:

Eligibility Criteria for APSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the APSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligibility Criteria comprising Educational and Professional Qualifications with Experience specific to the Posts are explained hereunder:

I) Assistant Archivist Post:

Education Qualification: The Candidate must have in possession a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors/Major in History from any of the Government Accredited Universities.

II) Assistant Librarian Post:

Educational and Other Qualifications:

The Candidate must have in possession

i) Education: Bachelor’s Degree from any of the Government Accredited Universities.

ii) A Diploma in Library Science from any Duly Recognized Government Institute.

iii) Preference will be given to Candidates having Minimum 03 Years’ Service experience in Library Science.

Selection Criteria under APSC Recruitment 2023:

Selection on the 02 Posts Assistant Archivist and Assistant Librarian Posts will be carried out by Direct Recruitment Methodology.

The Assam Public Service Commission shall separately notify the Selection Procedure at a later stage followed by issuance of Corrigendum/Addendum if required.

The APSC will decide the Provision for Selection in respect of any Post/Posts or Service/Services considering the Status, Cadre and Grade or the number of Applications received for the Advertised Post/Posts or Service/ Services.

The APSC will also decide on conducting the Recruitment Examination/Screening Test, etc. Zone-wise, depending upon the numbers of Candidates against the Districts in Assam State.

Examination Fee under APSC Recruitment 2023:

I) General Category: Total Rs.297.20

II) SCs/STs/OBCs/MOBCs: Total Rs.197.20

III) Below Poverty Line: Rs.47.20

IV) Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Rs. 47.20
