APSC Recruitment 2023: The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is inviting Indian nationals to apply for various posts in various departments. According to the APSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the hiring will be made for 20 vacancies under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Regional Forensic Science Laboratories, and Mobile Forensic Laboratories under the Directorate of Forensic Science. Candidates should be a minimum of 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2023. Age relaxation will be allowed for up to 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Candidates will be paid a monthly salary up to Rs.1,10,000 across all stated positions. The remuneration scale plus grade pay, plus any extra perks that may be provided to Assam State Government employees on occasion. The aspirant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
According to the APSC Recruitment 2023 official notification, physically handicapped persons who have received a Physically Handicapped Certificate from a competent authority would be eligible for appointment to the post based on the established standards of medical fitness. Candidates must submit their applications online through the APSC website. Personal interviews will be utilised for selection of candidates. At the time of the interview, the candidate must bring a physical copy of the online application, the original papers or certifications, and self-attested copies. The deadline for application submission is 07-10-2023. The State Govt. Employees from Assam are not required to present any documents as proof of residency; however, they must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective employer, as well as a copy of the accepted intimation letter for the NOC from the competent authority of the relevant Department.

For Scientific Officer for the Directorate of Forensic Science, Guwahati
Candidates should have M.Sc. in Chemistry or M.Sc. in Physics or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a Chemistry/ Physics specialisation from a recognised university.
For Scientific Officer for Regional Forensic Science Laboratories at Silchar, Bongaigaon, Tezpur and Dibrugarh
The candidate should possess M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics or M.Sc. in Electronics or M.Sc. in Instrumentation or M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a specialisation in Physics with Electronics/ Electronics/ Instrumentation from a recognised institution.
For Junior Scientific Officer for Mobile Forensic Laboratories
Candidates should have an M.Sc. in Physics or an M.Sc. in Forensic Science with a Physics specialisation from a recognised university.
