Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is recruiting qualified candidates for the post of Tourism Development Officer (Grade-I) under the Directorate of Tourism, Government of Assam. There are 12 openings to be filled for APSC Recruitment 2024.

Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 2024:

The candidates should not be less than 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as on 01.01.2024 for applying to APSC Recruitment 2024. The upper age limit is relaxable as given below-

• By 05 years for SC/STP/STH candidates i.e. up to 43 years.
• By 03 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 41 years as per Govt. notification ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
• For Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of the candidate as per Govt. Memorandum No.ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January 2019.

Salary for APSC Recruitment 2024:

The candidates who are selected for APSC Recruitment 2024 will be given a monthly salary up to Rs.97000.

Qualification for APSC Recruitment 2024:

Candidates must have the required qualifications for applying to APSC Recruitment 2024 as mentioned below-

• The candidate should have graduated from a University in any stream recognized by the Government with knowledge of computers of at least 6 months duration. OR
• The candidate should have a Graduate in Hospitality, Hotel, Travel and Tourism Management or Administration from a recognized University with knowledge of Computers of at least 6 months duration.

Weightage-

• The candidate should have knowledge of any Foreign Language other than English or a language spoken in the Indian Subcontinent.
• The candidate should have a working Experience in Travel and Tourism or Hotel management administration section.

The selection of APSC Recruitment 2024 will be determined on the basis of a screening examination, written examination and interview test. The candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for the interview test.
