Auto-fill data patterns in Excel: When we work on Excel every step takes some time, and due to this, our work is going slow and time-consuming. so we need to know every way to automate daily spreadsheet tasks. Autofill is a most popular feature in Excel which helps to save time. We work very efficiently and timely with the help of the Autofill feature of Excel. The important fact is that it is not only copying values down a column but also creating custom lists, double-clicking to occupy a large range of data. so we have to know how many ways to apply auto-fill in Excel and also how we can use these functions in Excel.
There is 5 Auto- Fill ways in Excel that we use in Excel:
Auto-Fill the Serial Number:
In this Auto-Fill feature, we get serial numbers without writing the numbers. We use this function in the column as well as the row. For example: First, click on any cell and write number 1 then put the mouse cursor onto the right-bottom corner of the selected cell, we will find the plus icon, click on it drag it and show the series of numbers.
Auto-Fill a Date Series:
We can use the Fill series command to autofill a series of dates. For this, select the series type as Date and then input the Step value and Stop value. If we want to show the dates in the column then we have to select the column button otherwise select the row option. Then press the OK button, and we will get the series of dates.
Auto-Fill Formulas:
When we want to apply one formula for all functions we should apply one function. For example: If we want to multiply our all data firstly we multiply the first data then put the mouse cursor onto the right-bottom corner of the selected cell, we will find the plus icon, click on it drag it and show the series of numbers.
Auto-Fill Days of a Week:
Firstly click on any cell and write any day of the week then put the mouse cursor onto the right-bottom corner of the selected cell, we will find the plus icon, click on it drag it and show the name of all days of the week.
Auto-Fill Sum of Data:
If we need to sum all observations in spreadsheet, we have to use the formula of sum in one observation then put the mouse cursor onto the right-bottom corner of the selected cell, we will find the plus icon, click on it and drag it and show the name of all days of the week.
