Overview:

Uniliver is hiring an experienced Supply Chain Finance Manager (Unilever International) at their Mumbai and Bangalore locations. He/she will be responsible for managing total product cost booking process in SAP. Operational requirement includes managing quarterly operational planning process in loading product cost estimate/ purchase info record prior to quarter starts, volume commitment reviews versus forecast and ensuring processes meet controls requirement.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

What will you be doing:

  • Logistics Cost: He/she will be responsible for managing total logistics cost including but not limited to sea freights, air freight, local transportations, warehouse costs, repack / value-added services. Operational requirement includes ensuring cost are booked correctly according to accounting policies/standards, process controls are met, closely connected with vendors, procurement and 3rd party service providers. Analytics requirement includes review/benchmarking for Best-in-class cost and deep understanding into underlying cost movement and work closely with Logistics team to capture savings.
  • Cost Savings: He/she will be responsible to drive cost conscious culture into all cross functional teams, provide full visibility into cost to serve and best in class benchmarking and work closely with all business teams (supply chain, procurement, business development) on new project, eg: new sourcing, alternative sourcing, cost saving project, capex investment, new business flow, etc). Create business case, analyze the cost and profitability, understand each component of the cost, challenge the price and cost necessarily.
  • Innovation Process: The role will be responsible to set up innovation partnering process, including analysis of new business opportunities and Projects via business case preparation, strategize profitable business models, financial flow modelling, recommend best cost to serve model and risk mitigation. Prepare financial framework to track post launch evaluation, make recommendation to tweak the model to delivery better KPIs.
  • SC finance capabilities: Leads the development of new capabilities (Automation/ Centralization/ Elimination) and analytics giving the SC finance team to tools to operate with a higher level of effectiveness.
  • Performance Management: He/she will be actively participating on driving profitability, managing risk, challenging business teams, managing costs across all UI Gross Business Units and P&L drivers; reviewing actuals vs forecast and flagging key issues to promote accountability and picking early warning signals to drive opportunities. Monthly cost forecasting, Month end review, Analysis, Drive Insights and Actions with focus on Cost.
  • Capex: Design framework to track capex invested, volume commitment and cost movement.
  • Finance agenda & people development: Lead and drive learning agenda within SCF, ensures that the finance teams are motivated, energized and upskilled to be a highly effective finance team.

Qualifications for this job:

  • Experience in various Finance roles: Supply Chain, Business Partnering, Procurement, Financial Analytics
  • In-depth knowledge of Operational / Financial Processes: Master data management, Costing & Transfer pricing principles, Financial Accounting,
  • Commercial support and decision support (including preparing financial models and ROI analysis)
  • Experience in Investment evaluation, analysis and KPIs.
  • Strong Analytical capabilities with bias to Drive Action.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, SAP and BW operational Knowledge

What skills are needed:

  • Graduate in Finance/Accounting
  • Knowledge on reporting tools, eg: Power BI will be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Mature and highly credible individual with strong business and financial acumen
  • Flexibility and comfortable working in a fast-paced matrix reporting environment
  • ability to operate independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to earn respect and trust from senior management
  • Self-driven, forward-looking, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus
  • Diligent and willing to be hands, ‘roll up your sleeves’
