BEL Recruitment 2023: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Probationary Engineer and Senior Engineer on a Permanent basis for its Pune Unit. As per the BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 11 vacancies. Selected candidates will get a monthly salary up to Rs. 160000. The compensation package will include Basic Pay as well as other benefits like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Insurance, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity in accordance with Company Policies.
As per the BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates applying for the post of Probationary Engineer having an M.Sc degree should be below the age of 25 years and the maximum age limit for all other Probationary Engineer posts is 27 years and the candidates applying for the post of Senior Engineer should be below the age of 32 years. candidates applying for this job post have to pay Rs. 708 as an application fee. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from payment of application fees. Candidates will be selected through a written test followed by a personal interview. Probationary Engineer
Candidates should have completed M. Sc. (Tech) in Photonics / Applied Optics / Optical Engineering OR ME/ M. Tech in Laser / Opto-Electronics /Optical Engineering OR ME/M. Tech in Laser/Photonics Opto Electronics/Optical Engineering qualification. The prescribed qualification should be acquired from AICTE-approved Colleges / Institutions or a UGC-recognized University. UR / OBC / EWS candidates should have secured First Class and ST / PwBD candidates should have secured Pass Class. SC candidates will be considered on par with UR Criteria.
Senior Engineer
Candidates should have BE / B. Tech/AMIE/GIETE from a recognized University / Institution in the relevant disciplines and should have secured First Class OR ME / M. Tech from a recognized University / Institution in the relevant disciplines and should have secured First Class.
As per the BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates applying for the post of Senior Engineer should have experience in Electronic Assembly, inspection & testing of Electronic Fuzes or Smart munitions. Candidates should have Experience of explosive assembly/ inspection/testing in the manufacturing of warheads, SAMs, Electronic Fuzes, propellants and other ammunition. Candidates should have Experience in designing, and testing of RF Antennas, RF PCBs & RF Amplifiers, Working experience in Proximity Sensor systems, Knowledge of software tools like HFSS, ADS, etc, and working knowledge of using Test instruments like Spectrum Analyzer, VNA etc.
Candidates should have Experience in Embedded system Programming, Knowledge of software like Python, JavaScript, C++ etc. with working experience in using Electronics Test instruments (Oscilloscopes, Counters, etc). Candidates with Knowledge of military design and testing standards like MIL, STANAG, JSS, and experience in static and dynamic testing of electronic fuzes, smart munitions, missiles etc. will be an added advantage.

Probationary Engineer (E-II)
Selected candidates will get a monthly salary on a pay scale level Rs. 40000-3%-140000 at the time of joining. The compensation package will include Basic Pay and other benefits like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Insurance, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity per Company Policies.
Senior Engineer (E-III)
Selected candidates will get a monthly salary on a pay scale level Rs. 50000-3%-160000 at the time of joining. The compensation package will include Basic Pay and other benefits like Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay (PRP), Group Insurance, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Pension, and Gratuity per Company Policies.
As per the BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates applying for the post of Probationary Engineer having an M.Sc degree should be below the age of 25 years and the maximum age limit for all other Probationary Engineer posts is 27 years and the candidates applying for the post of Senior Engineer should be below the age of 32 years. The upper age limit will be relaxable for OBC (NCL) candidates by 3 years and for ST candidates by 5 years. Candidates who fall under the PwBD category and have a minimum of 40% disability or higher will also receive an additional 10 years of age relaxation, on top of the relaxation that already applies to the aforementioned groups. SC applicants will be given the same consideration as UR Criteria.
As per the BEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, candidates will be selected through a written test followed by a personal interview. For 150 marks in the written exam, there will be objective-type questions from the technical and general aptitude domains. Candidates for general, OBC, and EWS positions must receive 35% of the possible points, while ST and PWD candidates must receive 30%. SC applicants will be given the same weight as UR applicants. Call letters for qualifying candidates to take the written test will be issued to their email addresses.
Any emails that are sent to the candidate but bounce do not fall under BEL’s purview. The written test’s date, time, and location will be announced by email in due course. Shortlisted candidates will only get notification of the Personal Interview through email in the Interview Call Letter. On presentation of valid train tickets, all out-of-town applicants selected for the interview will get reimbursement for the cost of a second-class train ticket along the shortest route between their correspondence address and the interview location. For taking the written exam, there won’t be any fare reimbursement.
