BHEL Recruitment 2023: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the post of Lead Consultant/ Advisor or Senior Consultant on a contract basis. As per the BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, there is only 01 vacancy. The selected candidate will be appointed for a tenure of 01 year which can be extended by a period of upto one year at a time or till the completion of the assignment (whichever is earlier). However, the maximum tenure shall be limited to five years or upto 65 years of age.

Applicants retired under VRS Scheme shall be considered only after attaining 60 years of age. In addition, mobile phone charges (Upto Rs 2000) for one connection, Transport allowance at 10% of consultancy fee and Housing allowance as per applicable rates shall be admissible. Further, the Consultant shall be eligible for Site Allowance and TA/DA on official tours, as per the rules. Candidates applying for this job post must have Bachelor’s or Masters’s degree in any discipline. Candidates should be retired officers from the rank of Rear Admiral (For Lead Consultant/ Advisor position) or the rank of Commodore (For Senior Consultant position) from the Indian Navy.
Candidates should have minimum 30 years of experience with the Indian Navy. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a senior position with exposure to acquisition programs, Defence Procurement Procedures/policies & liaison with Defence Headquarters, DRDO & Ministry of Defence etc. Candidates should have technical knowledge of Naval Systems e.g. propulsion equipment/ Mechanical & Electrical Systems etc. Candidates should have experience in warship production, refits and upgrade of shipboard equipment/systems.
Desirable
Candidates should have experience as head of the procurement/planning wing, with an in-depth understanding of existing and future requirements of the Defence Forces. Candidates should be technically oriented with an adequate understanding of the shipborne equipment & systems and challenges of warship production, upgrade and refit of on-board equipment/system. Candidates should have NDC and/or HDMC qualifications will be an asset.
