• Diploma in Printing Technology/Publication from a recognized institution.
• At least 05 years of experience in a responsible capacity in a well-established publishing/printing house of technical and scientific publications of which five years shall be in a senior position in Central Government/ State Government / Union Territory Government/ Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ reputed Government agency.

For Deputy Director (Library)-

• Master’s Degree (Post Graduate Degree) in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized university or institution.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Library Science or Library and information science from a recognized university or institution.
• At least 05 years of experience in a library under Central Government/State Government/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking/ recognized University/Institute. Desirable- Diploma in Computer Applications.

Eligibility Criteria for BIS Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of BIS Recruitment 2023, the candidate for Director (Legal) should be an Officer with 10 years regular service in the level-10 (Rs.56100-177500) in the pay matrix, Deputy Director (Marketing and Consumer Affairs, Publication Library) should be Officers with 05 years regular service in the level-10 (Rs.56100-177500) in the pay matrix.

Pay Scale for BIS Recruitment 2023:

• For Director (Legal)– The selected candidate will get a monthly pay scale on Level-12 (Rs.78800- 209200).
• For Deputy Director (Marketing and Consumer Affairs/Publication/Library)- The selected candidate will get a monthly pay scale on Level-11 (Rs.67700- 208700).

Mode of Selection for BIS Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of BIS Recruitment 2023, Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility standards and are shortlisted by the Screening Committee will be considered for selection. Departmental candidates of BIS will not be eligible to apply for the post of deputation.
