BSF Recruitment 2023: The Border Security Force has announced the recruitment for Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) in Group ‘C’ on a temporary basis. The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. As per BSF Recruitment 2023 official notification, the online application process will start on 22 April 2023 at 11:00 PM and will close on 13 May 2023 at 11:59 PM. Interested candidates are required to apply online at the official website of BSF only as no other mode of submission is allowed. The posts have all India liability and are likely to be made permanent. The candidates will be governed by the BSF Act and Rules on appointment.
As per BSF Recruitment 2023 official notification, the vacancies are divided into 75% quota against Direct Entry and 25% quota against Departmental (BSF serving personnel). The pay scale for Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) is Level-4 in the Pay Matrix, which is ₹ 25,500- ₹ 81,100 as per 7 CPC, along with various other allowances like Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Dress Allowance, and many more. The eligibility criteria for Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) are different, and candidates need to fulfill the academic qualifications and age limit criteria mentioned in the recruitment notice. As per BSF Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for the Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) posts in the Border Security Force recruitment is defined based on the applicant’s category. For the unreserved (UR) category, the candidate must be not below 18 years or over 25 years of age as of the closing date of the online application.
For Other Backward Classes (OBC), the candidate should not be below 18 years or over 28 years of age, and for the Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) categories, the candidate should not be below 18 years or over 30 years of age as of the closing date of the online application. The age relaxation will be as per the government norms for candidates belonging to reserved categories, such as SC, ST, OBC, and ex-servicemen. The age limit is one of the eligibility criteria, and the candidates must ensure they fulfill the age criteria before applying. Any candidate not meeting the age requirements will not be considered for recruitment.
As per BSF Recruitment 2023 official notification, For the post of HC (ROI), the candidates must have passed Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as regular students from a recognized Board or University or Institution with an aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Alternatively, candidates who have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or University can also apply for the post, provided they possess a two-year Industrial Training Institute Certificate (TI) in Radio and Television or Electronics Engineering or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or General Electronics Engineering or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.
For the post of HERMI, the candidates must have passed Intermediate or 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as regular students from a recognized Board or University or Institution with an aggregate of 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. Alternatively, candidates who have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institute can also apply for the post, provided they possess a two-year Industrial Training Institution Certificate (ITI) in Radio and Television or General Electronics or Computer Operator and Programming Assistant or Data Preparation and Computer Software or Electrician or Fitter or Information Technology and Electronics System Maintenance or Comm Equipment Maintenance or Computer Hardware or Network Technician or Mechatronics or Data Entry Operator from a recognized Institute.
