• Assist the law officer(s) in obtaining court processes and their timely delivery to the branch.
• Assist the law officers and Investigating Officers (IO) in preparing the witnesses before their appearance in Court by providing them with a copy of their statement to refresh their memory.
• Assist the law officer in identifying the crucial witnesses in a case and follow up with the IO / HIO for frequent liaison by IO/HIO with them so as to prevent them from being dissuaded from disclosing facts to the court on account of inducement, threat or promise of allurements.

Eligibility Criteria for CBI Recruitment 2024:

The applicants must be Retired police officers/ officials of the Central Police Organisation/ State Police in order to be considered for CBI Recruitment 2024.

• The candidate should have retired from the Central / State Government and should have experience in investigation or prosecution or court duty in a criminal court of law.
• The candidate should not have completed more than 4 years after his/her superannuation from government service.

Experience Required for CBI Recruitment 2024:

The candidates applying for CBI Recruitment 2024 should have at least 03 years of experience in investigation/ prosecution/ court duty during the trial of criminal cases.

Tenure for CBI Recruitment 2024:

The tenure for CBI Recruitment 2024 will be carried out on a contractual basis. The selected candidates will be appointed for an appropriate period of 01-year, which may be extended further by another 01-year. If there is sufficient reason and the period is prolonged beyond two years after the age of superannuation, it may be renewed annually subject to an assessment of the work and the performance of the lease appointee, given that it won’t be renewed for more than five years after superannuation.

Place of Posting for CBI Recruitment 2024:

Salary for CBI Recruitment 2024:

The candidates selected for CBI Recruitment 2024 will be given a remuneration as listed below:

• For retirees of the Central and State governments covered by the CCS (Pension) Rules, a set monthly amount will be permitted, which will be determined by subtracting the basic pension from the pay received at the time of retirement (without regard to any commutation) retirement. The salary amount that has been established will not alter for the period of the agreement. There won’t be a percentage increase or annual increment during the duration of the contract.
• When determining compensation for retirees of the Central and State governments covered by the National Pension System (NPS), thirty per cent of the last basic pay as drawn at the time of retirement will be subtracted from the most recent basic pay, with the fixed monthly amount being the outcome the compensation amount (DOPT OM dated 18.10.23).
• No increment and dearness allowance shall be allowed during the term of the contract.
