For Specialist Medical Officers (Deputy Commandant) –

• The candidates should have a recognized medical qualification for an allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.
• The candidates should have completed the compulsory rotating internship and
• The candidates must also possess a Post Graduation (PG) Degree/ Diploma in the concerned speciality. and One and half years of experience in the concerned speciality after obtaining a PG Degree or two and half years of experience after obtaining a PG Diploma.

For Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) –

• The candidates should have a recognized medical qualification for the allopathic system of medicines included in the first or second schedule or part II of the third schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956.
• The applicants must have permanent registration from any MCI/ NMC/ State Medical Council before appointment in any of the CAPFs and AR and
• Completion of compulsory rotating internship.
