Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024: Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is inviting interested and eligible candidates for the post of Additional General Manager, Joint General Manager, Manager, Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager in various fields. As mentioned in the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, there are 08 vacancies for the mentioned positions. The candidates selected for the mentioned position will get a remuneration starting from Rs.62000 to 160000 per month (according to the posts). The candidates must have at least 02 to 17 years of experience according to the posts (mentioned below).
According to the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the maximum age limit for applying for the mentioned position is from 30 years to 47 years as per the posts mentioned below. The educational qualification required for applying for the mentioned position is different for each post and discipline. The applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of Medical Examination and Interviews conducted by the committee. Additional General Manager/ Joint General Manager (Rolling Stock):
The candidates must be a B.E/ B. Tech (ECE/ EEE/ Mech) graduate from a government-recognized Institute/ University, approved by AICTE/ UGC. Post-graduation in the relevant discipline is an added advantage.
Joint General Manager – Power System and Overhead Equipment:
The candidates must be a B.E/ B. Tech (EEE) graduate from a Government recognized University/ Institute, approved by AICTE/ UGC. Post-graduation in the relevant discipline is desirable.
Manager (Operations):
The candidates must be a B. E/ B.Tech (EEE/ ECE/ Mech/ CSC) or a combination of any of these disciplines or a Master’s degree in any discipline from a government-recognized institute/ university approved by AICTE/ UGC.
Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager – Rolling Stock:
The candidates must be a B.E/ B. Tech (ECE/ EEE/ Mech) graduate from a government-recognized Institute/ University, approved by AICTE/ UGC.
Assistant Manager – General Consultant:
The candidates must be a graduates of a government-recognized Institute/ University, approved by AICTE/ UGC.

Experience Required according to the posts is as listed below:
Additional General Manager/ Joint General Manager (Rolling Stock):
The candidates should possess post-qualification experience of a minimum of 17 years for the AGM level and 15 years for the JGM level respectively in project execution and/or maintenance of Metro Rail Rolling Stock. Possession of project management certification and handling project-related work will be an added advantage.
Joint General Manager – Power System and Overhead Equipment:
The candidates should possess post-qualification experience with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
For Deputation post – The incumbent be in SG grade in Group (A) with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
Manager (Operations):
The candidates should have at least 07 years of postqualification experience in operations of the Railway/ Metro/ LRT/ Suburban rail system or work as an Executive in any government/ PSU organization.
Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager – Rolling Stock:
The candidates should possess post-qualification experience of a minimum of 04 years for the Deputy Manager level and 02 years for the Assistant Manager level respectively in project execution and maintenance of Metro Rail Rolling Stock projects.
Assistant Manager – General Consultant:
The candidates should have post-qualification experience of 02 years in the recruitment of Consultancy and Contract staff for Government agencies or PSU. Should have hands-on experience in invoice processing of outsourced/ contract staff in large infrastructure projects, which shall include Recruitment processing, Remuneration and Reimbursable bills verification, Logistics management of Contract/ Consultancy staff, Documents control and data management etc.
According to the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the selection process will be based on the interview and medical examinations conducted by the committee.
As mentioned in the official notification of Chennai Metro Rail Recruitment 2024, the candidates have to pay an application fee according to the categories. The application fee is non-refundable. The candidates have to pay the application fee in online mode.

The candidates belonging to the category of Unreserved and candidates under other categories have to pay an application fee of Rs.300 and the candidates belonging to SC/ ST Categories have to pay an application fee of Rs.50.
