Pay Matrix Level 08 (Rs.35400-112400)

The selected candidates after their joining, will be kept on Probation for a period of 03 years and during the period of probation they shall be paid stipend as mentioned below;

Ist year: 70% of the Minimum of the Pay Scale of the post;

IInd year: 80% of the Minimum of the Pay Scale of the post;

The Selection Procedure for the Translator Post consists of 02 Phases. The selection for the Translator post shall be conducted on the basis of the Written Examination. The Written Test shall be conducted in Two Phases.

Phase -I Screening test:

Phase -II Written Test & Skill Test (to assess the proficiency in language and proficiency in Computer).

Phase-I: Screening Test: The Screening test shall comprise 100 Objective-type Multiple Choice Questions with Maximum 100 marks. Each correct response shall be awarded 01 Marks. There shall be no Minus (-) Marking. To qualify the said test (Screening test), the candidate has to secure Minimum Qualifying Marks as follows:

i) Un-reserved Category: 60% marks
ii) OBC category: 60% marks
iii) Reserved (SC & ST category): 50% marks

The candidates, having qualified in the said Screening test will be called for Phase-II (Written Test & Skill Test).

Phase-II: Phase II consists of (I) Written Test and (II) Skill Test-

I) Written Test: Total 100 marks

  • English to Hindi Translation (Passage of 300 words): 50 marks
  • Hindi to English Translation (Passage of 300 words): 50 marks

Note: ½ mark to be deducted for each mistake in both Parts. To qualify the said test (Screening test), the candidate has to secure Minimum Qualifying Marks in each Tests as follows:

i) Un-reserved Category: 60% marks
ii) OBC category: 60% marks
iii) Reserved (SC & ST category): 50% marks

II) Skill Test: (Total 50 marks)
To assess proficiency in computer, there shall be a Computer-based Typewriting Test of Hindi @ 250 W.P.M. and English @ 300 w.p.m. The Written Test carries Maximum 50 marks (25 marks for each typewriting) and to qualify in this test the candidate has to secure minimum 10 marks in each typing. The Typing Test will be conducted in Ubuntu Linux – LibreOffice – Unicode Font. The Skill Test is only a qualifying test and the marks obtained in the Skill Test will not be taken into account for preparation of the Merit List and Select List.

The Merit list of qualified candidates of Phase-II examination (Written Test and Skill Test) will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by them in the Written Test only.

Tie-Resolving Methodology: In case of two or more candidates having secured equal marks, the candidate with Graduation in Legal Law shall be given weightage and would be kept in Seniority to other and if both are Law Graduates, the Senior-most in age will be given seniority to other.
