CLAWS Recruitment 2022: Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) is an independent Think Tank under the Indian Army. CLAWS is hiring eligible candidates for the post of Director General on a contractual basis for a period of 2 years which can be renewed depending on the performance and mutual consent. Candidates below the age of 68 years can apply. The maximum age to tenant the appointment will be 70 years. The consultancy fee is Rs. 100000 per month.

Post Name- Director General

Age Limit- Candidates below the age of 68 years can apply. The maximum age to tenant the appointment will be 70 years.

Tenure- The appointment is for 2 years, which can be extended and renewed depending on the performance and mutual consent.

Consultancy Fee- The consultancy fee is Rs. 100000 per month.

Duties for CLAWS Recruitment 2022:

i. Director General, CLAWS is the ‘head of staff’ appointed on a contractual basis and is responsible for the Academic and Administrative functioning of CLAWS.

ii. Function under the overall directions of the Executive Council (EC) and the Board of Governors (BoG), CLAWS as regards the projects, priorities, other policy issues, and routine functioning/management of the Centre.

iii. Plan research and study subjects at CLAWS and assign responsibilities to Research Scholars.

iv. Plan and organize international, national, and CLAWS seminars.

v. Conduct periodic events like lectures, panel discussions, seminars and brainstorming sessions.

vi. Publishing of ‘CLAWS Journal’ and ‘Scholar Warrior’ biannually and other seminar papers/journals.

vii. Conduct events outside Delhi after the prior sanction of Chairman BoG/President EC.

viii. Brainstorming sessions/panel discussions/seminars can also be conducted at stations outside Delhi, where a large number of serving Army officers are present/retired officers are settled, after prior sanction by President, EC.

ix. Be custodian of CLAWS funds on behalf of the Chairman, BoG and exercise prudence in the expenditure of CLAWS funds.

x. Act as Member Secretary of CLAWS BoG and EC.

Qualification for CLAWS Recruitment 2022:

i. Experience and knowledge of the current geo-strategic situation and thinking on Land Warfare issues.

ii. The Director General should be HC/HDMC and NDC qualified. Academic qualifications including Ph.D. will be given preference.

iii. Published work including books on Strategy and Land Warfare is desirable.

iv. Experience working in similar think tanks (s)/institutions/organizations will be given preference.
