CLAWS Recruitment 2022: Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) is hiring candidates for the Senior Fellow (Civilian/ Veteran) and Research Fellow posts. CLAWS is an independent ‘Think Tank’ under the army and functions five days a week from 0930 hours to 1730hrs. The contract will be for two years.

The Consultancy Fee for Senior Fellow (Civilian/ Veteran) is starting from Rs 65000 per month and the Consultancy Fee for Research Fellow is Rs 51000 per month. CLAWS will offer office space and access to the Institution’s information services and other resources. Eligibility for CLAWS Recruitment 2022

Senior Fellow (Civilian/ Veteran)

Open to all civilians and veterans who have a Doctorate from any recognized university. A minimum of eight years of experience in the related field is mandatory or should have successfully completed study leave (for veterans) with CLAWS for two (02) years. Publications in refereed journals, books and monographs are mandatory.

Research Fellow

Open to all civilians who have a Doctorate from any recognized university. A minimum of four years of experience in the related field is mandatory.

Duties for CLAWS Recruitment 2022

Senior Fellow (Civilian/ Veteran) and Research Fellow

i. Write a book of a minimum of 80000 to 100000 words during the contract period on the given subject. The manuscript of the book will be put up to Director General, CLAWS minimum of four months prior to the completion of the contract period to enable timely peer review and publication before the expiry of your contract. The periodic progress on the project will be given to Director General, CLAWS as under:-

ii. Write one web article every month or one web article and one Issue Brief per quarter on the subject assigned during the period of the contract. The Issue Brief should be submitted for peer review in the first fortnight of the third month of the quarter.

iii. Conduct one seminar/workshop and round table conferences annually on the subject assigned.

iv. Liaise with government departments, educational institutions, Think Tanks and individuals, as applicable, and use available material documents, records, etc for research including travel outside Delhi.

v. Compile, transcribe and edit papers and proceedings of events like seminars, discussions, etc, held by CLAWS, for their eventual publication in the form of a book/ monograph/ research paper.

vi. Assist other researchers to organise events for CLAWS.

vii. Any other task assigned by Director General/ Additional Director General/ Director Coord & Director Adm as delegated.

viii. It is mandatory to attend all events organized by CLAWS.

ix. It is desirable that you contribute articles, in addition to the above, in CLAWS Journal/ Scholar Warrior.
