Consulate General of India Introduced Internship Platform for Indian Students in US

The Consulate General Of India in New York on Wednesday launched a new platform for Indian students in the USA, these will help them find internship opportunities at the companies of the USA.

On Twitter, the consulate announced, “As part of the initiative to support Indian students in its jurisdiction, @IndiainNew York has developed a platform for Indian Students to find internship opportunities at companies in the USA.” Further added, “Several Indian and American companies and organizations have agreed to consider deserving Indian students for internship opportunities”, “Students are advised to apply directly to the companies as per the details provided in the portal. It may please be noted that the Consulate has no role in selection for internship nor is it responsible for the same.”

The authority has said that various Indian, and American companies and organisations have accepted the newly introduced Internship Platform For Indian Students in the US. The opportunity is opened to support Indian students in its jurisdiction.

The internship is in fields like investment banking company, automotive company, software companies, science and technology, health care, government agencies, multinational corporations and technology, the hotel industry, e-commerce, online service providers, the public sector, corporations, banking, aviation, artificial intelligence, technology, advisory, law firm, pharma, finance, non-profit, IT and more.

Social media posts have also advised the students to apply for the internship directly to the companies according to the details provided at the online portal. Interested candidates can apply for the internship on the website (https://www.indiainnewyork.gov.in/job/index). The consulate has said that it has no role in the selection process of the internship and, hence will not be responsible for it.

The Consulate has also contacted some renowned doctors in its jurisdiction and they have agreed to assist Indian students with psychiatric counselling and other counselling who are enrolled in 10 states in the USA (Consulate’s jurisdiction).

It has also contacted renowned lawyers in its jurisdiction, who have too agreed to assist distressed Indians living in the Northeast United States. Community members can reach out to the lawyers directly with a reference from the Consulate General.
