DRDO Recruitment 2022: The Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) has sought Applications from Candidates fulfilling Eligibility in reference to the Post Scientists ‘B’ in Psychology in the Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) Technical Service the Defence Research & Development Service (DRDS) of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO).

In order to be Eligible for RAC Notified Recruitment for Scientist ‘B’ in Psychology, the Candidate should have passed the GATE/NET for Assistant Professor.

Scientist ‘B’ in the Group ‘A’ (Gazetted) Technical Service known as the Defence Research & Development Service (DRDS) of the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO)

Age Limits (Category-wise): The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO): Un-Reserved (UR)/Economically Weaker Sections: 28 Years. Other than General Merit Category and the Economically Weaker Sections, Relaxation in Upper Age Limit for Reserved Communities.

Essential Academic Qualification: All Eligible Candidates should have in possession the Master Degree Courses in Psychology with Minimum First Class from any Duly Recognized University or Equivalent thereof.

For Master in Psychology, Essential Professional Qualification:

The Applicant should have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/National Eligibility Test (NET) in the Relevant Branch of Psychology

01. GATE Qualification: Valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Score in Psychology [Paper Code: XH]

02. NET Qualification: The National Eligibility Test (NET) Assistant Professorship in Psychology (Relevant Subject) Examination Qualified.

B) Such Candidates having the Equivalent Qualification Degree from any Foreign University/ies should obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the ‘Association of Indian Universities (AIUs), Delhi’ and submit the same On or Before the Closing Date for receipt of the Applications.

 

Selection Process: The Recruitment & Assessment Centre shall initiate unto carrying out the following Final Selection Methodology as

i) The Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the Subject Specific Examination (SSE) Scores will have to appear in the Personal Interviews (PIs) to be held in Delhi or any other Appointed/Notified place as decided by the Recruitment & Assessment Center/Defence Research and Development Organisation.

ii) The Appointment to be offered to the Selected Candidates will be limited to the number of Vacancies in order of Merit. The Appointment, however, will remain subject to the Candidates’ satisfying the Eligibility Conditions including Qualifying i) the Medical Examination prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical Posts of the Government of India with Field Service liability and ii) Verification of Character Antecedents in addition to verification of the Reserved Community Candidates’ Certificates, etc., wherever applicable.

iii) The Recruitment & Assessment Centre would upload on the Website the Final Results customized for Individual Candidates)
How to Apply for DRDO RAC Recruitment 2022.

Selection Criteria:

i) Candidates’ Final Selection will be Purely Based on the Category‐specific and Community-wise Merit of Aggregate of 80% Marks Weightage of the Marks in the Subject Specific Examination (SSE) and 20% Weightage of the Marks in the Personal Interviews.

ii) Only Candidates securing the Minimum Qualifying 70% Marks (for UR Category) and 60% (for Reserved Community) in the Personal Interview will be considered for preparation of the Final Merit List.

The Candidates fail to qualify the Interview would not be considered for Final Selection irrespective of their respective Qualifying Scores in the Subject Specific Examination.

iii) In addition to the above, any other Selection Device/Test may be administered, at the sole discretion of the Recruitment & Assessment Centre.

Written Examination Scheme for Part I:

The Recruitment and Assessment Centre shall conduct a Common Computer-Based Written Test consisting of 02 Papers to be conducted in 02 Sessions (Fore-Noon Session: FNS and After-Noon Session: ANS) for Total 600 (Paper I for 300 Marks + Paper II for 300 Marks) shall span 03 Hours each.

Detailed Selection Methodology:

Screening/Shortlisting Methodology:

Category I: Eligible Candidates will be shortlisted for a Subject Specific Examination (SSE) in Psychology based on the Valid GATE Scores in the ratio of 1:25 subject to their availability in order of category‐wise Merit List.

AND

Category II: Eligible Candidates will be shortlisted for a Subject Specific Examination (SSE) in Psychology on the basis of the Aggregate Percentage of the Marks secured in the National Eligibility Test for Eligibility to Assistant Professorship in Psychology in the ratio of 1:25 subject to their availability in order of Category‐specific and Community-wise Merit List.

ii) The Candidates likely to appear for the Subject-Specific Examination will be further shortlisted in the ratio of 1:50 for appearing in Personal Interviews in order of the Merit list prepared on the basis of the Subject-Specific Examination only.

iii) The Recruitment & Assessment Centre shall publish on the Website Information in respect of the Shortlisted Candidates.

i) The Recruitment and Assessment Centre shall call the Shortlisted Candidates on the basis of the GATE Scores and/or Written Examination to appear in the Personal Interview to be held in New Delhi or any other place (as decided by Research & Assessment Center (RAC)/Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).

ii) The Offer of Appointment to the Selected Candidates would be restricted to the number of vacancies in order of Merit. The Appointment, however, will be subject to the Candidate’s satisfying conditions like qualifying the Medical Examination (ME) prescribed for Group ‘A’ Technical Posts of the Government of India with Field Service Liability and Verification of Character Antecedents besides verification of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD(HH)/ PwBD(LD)/PwBD(AAV)/ PwBD(Dw) Certificate, etc., wherever applicable.

iii) Final Result (customized for Individual Candidate) shall be published/displayed at the Recruitment and Assessment Centre’s Website in due course of time.

Detailed Selection Criteria:

1) For Subjects/Disciplines under Part-I :

Final Selection of the Candidates shall be Purely Based On Discipline-wise Category-wise Merit of Gross 100%; i.e., Aggregate of 80% Weightage of the Marks in the Written Examination and 20% Weightage of the Marks in the Personal Interview.

2) For the Subjects/Disciplines under Part-II:

Final Selection of the Candidates shall be Purely Based On Discipline-wise Category-wise Merit of Gross 100%; i.e., Aggregate of 80% Weightage of the Marks in the GATE Score and 20% Weightage of the marks in the Personal Interview.

3) Final Selection of the Candidates under PwBD(HH), PwD(LD), PwBD(AAV/Dw) Category against the Vacancies reserved for them in the Applicable Disciplines shall be Purely Based on the Combined Merit of Aggregate of 80% Weightage of the GATE Score and 20% Weightage of the Marks in the Personal Interview.

4) Only those Candidates securing the Category-wise / Community- specific Minimum Qualifying Marks of 70% (for Un-Reserved) and 60% (for Reserved EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD Community) in the Personal Interview will be considered for Preparing the Final Merit List. The Candidates who fail to qualify the Interview will not be considered for Final Selection irrespective of their Written Examination Scores (for Part-I Disciplines)/GATE Score (for Part-II Disciplines).

v) The Selection against the UR vacancies will be done first based on the Combined Merit List of all the Candidates. Filling up of the Backlog Vacancies in OBC/SC/ST category shall be taken up after exhausting the UR Vacancies.

vi) In the Merit List for Final Selection, the Candidates will be considered for Selection against the Vacancies in the Organizations (DRDO/DST/ADA) they opted for, in order of their individual Preference. They will be accommodated against the vacancies of that Organization where their Selection is Definite and will not be kept in any Wait-List of their Higher Preferences.
