DRDO Recruitment 2023: Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is inviting interested and eligible candidates for the post of Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in various subjects/disciplines. As mentioned in the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, there are 05 vacancies for the mentioned position. The educational qualification is different for both the posts and for each subject/ discipline (mentioned below in the article). The maximum age limit for applying for the post of Research Associate is 35 years and the maximum age limit for applying for the post of Junior Research Fellow is 28 years as on the date of the interview. The monthly emoluments for the Fellowships shall be Rs.54000 per month plus House Rent Allowance for Research Associate (RA) and Rs.31000 per month plus House Rent Allowance for Junior Research Fellow (JRF), as admissible under the rules.
According to the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of a walk-in interview conducted by the committee. Interested and eligible candidates can directly appear for a walk-in interview, The candidates have to send their bio-data to the company’s mail id ([email protected]). The tenure will remain for an initial period of 02 years, which may be extended further as per the rules.

Qualification Required according to the posts is as mentioned below:
Research Associate (Ocean Science):
The candidates should have PhD in Ocean Sciences or relevant allied subjects preferably with experience in the field of Physical /Chemical Oceanography or M. Tech (Ocean Technology) with 3 years of post-qualification research or teaching experience in the field of Physical / Chemical Oceanography having at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Junior Research Fellow (Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering):
The candidates should have BE/ B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engg /Electronics and Communication Engg in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification or ME/ M.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engg/ Electronics and Communication Engg in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (Computer Science and Engineering):
The candidates should have B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science Engg in 1st Division with valid NET/GATE qualification or M.E/ M.Tech in Computer Science Engg in first division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (Mechanical Engineering):
The candidates should have BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engg in 1st Division with valid NET/ GATE qualification or ME/ M.Tech in Mechanical Engg in 1st Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
Junior Research Fellow (Physics):
The candidates should have Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science pertaining to the subject/discipline in 1st Division with a valid NET qualification.
According to the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the appointment will remain for a period of 02 years and may be extendable further as per the rules.
According to the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of interviews conducted by the committee. The candidates have to report on or before the scheduled time at the interview venue.
As mentioned in the official notification of DRDO Recruitment 2023, the interview will be scheduled on 09.09.2023 (Saturday) at 09:30 AM. The interview will take place at Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya in the campus of Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Thrikkakara P.O., Kochi 682021. The candidates have to carry all the relevant documents mentioned in the official notification at the time of the interview.
