Eastern Railway Recruitment 2023: Eastern Railway is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill up vacancies for the Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. According to the official notification of Eastern Railway recruitment 2023, the minimum age limit is 15 years and the maximum is 24 years and the upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates. There are a total of 3115 vacancies for the Apprenticeship. As given in the official notification of Eastern Railway recruitment 2023, the applicant must have passed the Class 10th exam or its equivalent with 50% minimum marks in aggregate, from a recognized Board and should also possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of eligibility and will be called for document verification. As mentioned in the official notification of Eastern Railway recruitment 2023, candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as the application fee and ST/SC/PwBD and Women applicants are exempted from payment of the fee. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC-NCL candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.

In both matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
For example- A candidate secured 80.58% marks in Matriculation examination and 91.68% marks in ITI, then marks considered for selection will be ½ [80.58 + 91.68] = 86.13
As mentioned in the official notification of Eastern Railway recruitment 2023, candidates have to pay Rs. 100 as application fee and ST/SC/PwBD and Women applicants are exempted from payment of fee.
