ESIC Recruitment 2023: Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has released a notification regarding hiring candidates for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor on a contract basis. As per the ESIC Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 03 years which can be extended up to 05 years. The maximum tenure of such an engagement will not exceed five years, or until the faculty member has reached age 70, or until the regular faculty member has joined, whichever comes first. There are 08 vacancies.

Academic qualification and teaching experience to be eligible for engagement is as per the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998” as amended and applicable as on date to the respective posts (Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor) – (As per MCI/NMC Rules).

As per the ESIC Recruitment 2023 official notification, selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 03 years which can be extended up to 05 years. The maximum tenure of such engagement will not exceed 5 Years or 70 years of the age of faculty or till the joining of regular faculty, whichever is earlier. Candidates selected for the posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor have to deposit an amount of Rs. 100000 as Security Deposit. The security deposit will be forfeited in case the selected candidate resigns/leaves within One year of reporting. The incumbent would serve the initial first year of the contract, independent of regular Faculty joining during this period. The contract would be extendable on a Yearly basis subject to satisfactory performance, post requirement, availability of vacancy, appointment/joining of the regular incumbents, etc. The Appointment shall not confer any right or preference for regular appointment. Further, such appointments are also subject to medical fitness. However, the contract would be terminable on One Month’s notice, on joining of regular faculty in the subsequent years of the contract.

Results will be shared through email and made available on the website. Candidates who are chosen must start working as soon as they receive their offer of employment. When a candidate who was chosen does not report on or before the designated last date of joining, his or her appointment is presumed to have been canceled, and the next qualified candidate is immediately deemed to have been chosen. The Walk-In-Interview for the position of Associate Professor as specified in the aforementioned Recruitment Notification will be given preference to applicants who have been approved as “PG Guide” or are qualified for “PG Guide” per the rules of the Affiliating University/NMC. At the time of the interview, candidates who have previously received recognition as PG guides must present a copy of the letter of recognition, which was granted by the affiliating university or NMC.
