• The candidate should have a PG degree or PG diploma holder in the concerned speciality from a recognized university and be registered with the Medical Council.
• Candidates who have already completed three years of tenure as senior residents in any government. organisation are not eligible.

For Senior Resident (1 Year Contract Against Vacant Posts Of Gdmo Cadre):

• The candidate should have PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in concerned speciality from recognized university and registered with Medical Council. In the absence of PG-qualified doctors and MBBS graduates who possess at least 2 years of working experience in the concerned speciality will be selected.
• The Senior residents in the broad speciality of Medicine would be also be allocated to superspeciality branches Cardiology/Nephrology/Oncology
• The Senior Residents taken in the broad speciality of Surgery would be also be allocated to the superspeciality branch of Urology.
