Overview:

Cargill is hiring an experienced Senior Associate – Payments at their Bangalore location. The Senior Associate will be responsible for the end-to-end process of paying supplier invoices, processing of traveler expense reports and supporting the business units, functions and suppliers with invoice questions. In this role, you will work closely with internal teams and functional contacts to resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure timely payment of invoices, resolve supplier invoice inquiries and cultivate relationships with outsourcing partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for End to End Payments processing in any phase of the whole ITP process (Cycle Payments, Non-Cycle payments) keeping them under Payments control as per payment policy.
• Should be proactively able to idendtify failure mode effectively & identify the possible controls.
• Should be able to Identify & prepare RCA of any issues.
• Should be able to handle issues/escalation independently.
• Should be able identify potential process improvements with bigger effeiciency in the process.
• Should be able to identify the scope & standardize the process across the countries within the region.
• Should be able to train new joiners & mentor them.
• Should have in depth knowledge on processing invoices in any phase of the whole ITP process (Non Po related, PO related, payment) keeping them under control as per payment policy
• Research statements, past due notices, disconnect notices and other miscellaneous mail and supplier issues
• Research/problem solve supplier inquiries received regarding accounts payable issues.  This includes educating the business contacts on the correct process to follow, or missing or inaccurate information on payments requests.
• Partnering with Cargill’s Business Units and functions to resolve any supplier payment issues
• Completes task using less defined procedures and escalates issues timely to ITP supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in a related field or equivalent
• Good knowledge on MS Excel & MS Power point
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
• Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Virtualization software experience
• Should be agile
• Knowledge of related accounts payable enterprise resource planning systems
