Experience –

• The candidates should have a minimum of 5 years in the area of metallurgical testing, characterization of metallic materials and failure investigation of aeronautical and engineering components.
• The candidates should have thorough knowledge in metallographic techniques such as optical microscopy, image analysis, microhardness determination and other conventional laboratory metallurgical aids.
• The candidates should be able to prepare a sample for metallurgical analysis and carry out tests such as microstructure determination, inclusion rating, grain size determination, etc.
• The candidates should have hands-on experience in fractography analysis using an electron microscope and interpretation of results.
  Knowledge and experience in Mechanical behaviour and testing of metals such as Tensile (Room and Elevated temperature), Fatigue Testing, Creep and Stress Rupture Tests, Fracture toughness, etc.
• The candidates should possess an aptitude for taking up R&D work in the area of development of advanced aerospace materials and processes. Any R and D work carried out by the candidate will be an added advantage Should possess good technical report writing and communication/presentation skills.
• The candidates should have knowledge about laboratory accreditations like NABL, ISO/AS9100, and NADCAP, which is desirable.
