The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the post of Professor (Ras Shastra) under the Ayush Department. There is only 01 seat available for the assigned post.

Educational Qualification for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

• The candidate should have a degree of B.A.M.S from a recognized university.
• The candidate should have a PG Degree in a particular branch of specialty from any recognized university establishment by law or the degree recognized by CCIM or HP Government.
• The candidate should have studied Sanskrit as one of the subjects in the course of Bachelor’s Degree in Ayurveda.
• Teaching experience of 15 years after doing post graduation out of which 06 years as Reader in the concerned subject.

Desirable Qualification-

• Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of H.P. and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
• The candidate should have done PG in Ras-Shastra in order to apply for the post of Professor (Ras-Shastra).

Pay Scale for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

• The chosen candidates will get a monthly salary of Rs.15600 to Rs.39100 plus (GP 6600).

Age Limit for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

• The lower age limit should be 18 years and the upper age limit should be 45 years.
• The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with disabilities and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh, as declared by the government from time to time.

• Matriculation certificate for age proof
• BAMS Degree / Post Graduation Degree certificates along with BAMS Detail Marks Sheets of all years in support of Educational Qualifications.
• Teaching Experience certificate(s) of 15 years after doing post-graduation, out of which 6 years as Reader in the concerned subject.
• Valid category certificate(s) in support of their eligibility,if any, viz., S.C., S.T., O.B.C., E.W.S., Ex- Servicemen along with discharge book, Ward of Ex. Servicemen, WFF and Persons with benchmark disabilities etc.
• Bonafide Himachali Certificate in case of reserved category candidates.
• Valid EWS/BPL Certificate.
• Ex. Servicemen Discharge Certificate/Service Book.

Selection Process for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

The method of selection is based on the screening/preliminary exam and personality test, as indicated in the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023.

Paper- I-

A 1-hour computer-based or offline screening test has 100 points as follows:

• General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh –30 marks
• General knowledge of National and International Affairs- 30 Marks
• Knowledge of the Hindi language: 20 Marks
• Knowledge of the English language –20 Marks

Paper-II-

• A Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) (objective type) of 03 hours duration and 120 marks, as determined by the Commission from time to time.
