HPPSC Recruitment 2023: The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is accepting applications from skilled and qualified candidates for the post of Assistant Professor ((Pathology)) Class-I. There is only 01 vacancy available for the aforesaid position. As indicated in the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the selected applicants will be paid a salary between Rs. 37400 and Rs. 67000 plus (G.P. 8900) per month. The candidate must pay an application fee of Rs.400 for General and Rs.100 for SC, ST, OBC and EWS covered under UR – BPL categories.

The applicant must hold a degree of M.D. (Pathology)/ Ph.D. (Pathology)/ D.Sc. (Pathology) from a recognized university. Educational Qualifications for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:
Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the education qualification is mentioned below:
A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian MedicalCouncil Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act 2019. Holders of Educational Qualification included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in the sub-section of Section 13 of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality as mentioned in Part-A or its equivalent qualifications.
The candidate should have at least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrators/Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognized Medical College.
The candidate should have a degree of M.D. (Pathology)/ Ph.D. (Pathology)/ D.Sc. (Pathology).
Desirable–
The candidate should have Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

The lower age limit should be 18 years and the upper age limit should be 45 years.
The maximum age limit is relaxed by 5 years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities, and Children/Grand Children of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh, as declared by the government from time to time.
Application Fee for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:
According to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidate should deposit an application fee of Rs. 400. The candidates will pay the examination fee online by Debit/Card/UPI or any other online digital mode. Payment of fee through any other mode is neither valid nor acceptable.
As indicated in the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the method of selection is based on the Screering Test/Preliminary Exam and Personality Test.

Paper- I-
A 1-hour computer-based or offline screening test has 100 marks as follows:
General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh –30 marks
General knowledge of National and International Affairs- 30 Marks
Knowledge of the Hindi language: 20 Marks
Knowledge of the English language –20 Marks
Paper-II-
A Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) (objective type) of 03 hours duration and 120 marks, as determined by the Commission from time to time.
