• A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian MedicalCouncil Act, 1956, now National Medical Commission Act 2019. • A postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality as mentioned in Part-A or its equivalent qualifications.
• The candidate should have at least 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer/Registrar/Demonstrators/Resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned speciality in any recognized Medical College.
• The candidate should have a degree of M.D. (Pathology)/ Ph.D. (Pathology)/ D.Sc. (Pathology).

Desirable–

• The candidate should have Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
• Publication of research papers in Index Journals.

Selection Process for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

Paper- I-

A 1-hour computer-based or offline screening test has 100 marks as follows:

• General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh –30 marks
• General knowledge of National and International Affairs- 30 Marks
• Knowledge of the Hindi language: 20 Marks
• Knowledge of the English language –20 Marks

Paper-II-

• A Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) (objective type) of 03 hours duration and 120 marks, as determined by the Commission from time to time.
