Post Name and Vacancies for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

As informed by the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the qualified applicant is asked to apply for the position of Drug Inspector under the Health Safety and Regulation on a contractual basis. There are a total of 03 vacancies available for the aforementioned position.

Qualification for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

Referring to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidate’s required qualification is given below:
Essential Qualification-

• The applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a post-graduate Degree in Chemistry with pharmaceutics as the essential subject of a University established in India by the Law or its equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central Government for such purpose or the Associateship Diploma of the Institution of Chemists (India) obtained by passing the Examination with “Analysis of Drugs and pharmaceuticals” as one of the subjects. OR
• The applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Graduate in Medicine of an University recognized for this purpose by the appointing authority and has had at least one year’s postgraduate training in a laboratory under (i) a Government Analyst appointed under the Act, or (ii) a Chemical Examiner, or (iii) the head of an institution specifically approved for the purpose by the appointing authority; Provided that only those Inspectors:– (i) who have not less than 18 months experience in the manufacture of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule-C; OR (ii) who have not less than 18 months’ experience in testing of at least one of the substances specified in Schedule–C in a laboratory approved for this purpose, by the Licensing Authority; OR (iii) who have gained experience of not less than three years in the inspection of firm manufacturing any of the substances specified in Schedule-C appended to these rules during the tenure of their service as Drug Inspectors shall be authorized to inspect the manufacture of the substances mentioned in Schedule-C.

Desirable Qualification-

• The applicants should have Knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and be suitable for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.

Age Limitation for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidate’s minimum age limit for the mentioned position should be 18 years and the maximum age limit should be 45 years.

Salary for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidates will be paid a monthly salary upto Rs.34800.

• The selected applicants for the post of Drug Inspector will given a monthly salary of Rs.10300 to Rs.34800 with (GP 4200). 

Application Fee for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

Referring to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the eligible candidates have to pay an application fee of up to Rs.400. The application fee will be paid online through debit/credit card/UPI/any other online digital mode. Examination Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Mode of Selection for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, the candidate’s selection will be based on the Screening/Preliminary Exam and personality test. The informations are mentioned below-

For Paper- I-

A 01 hour computer-based or offline screening test consisting of 50 questions worth 100 points as follows-

• General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh = 30 Marks
• General knowledge of National and International Affairs= 30 Marks
• Knowledge of the Hindi language = 20 Marks
• Knowledge of the English language = 20 Marks

For Paper-II-

• A Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) (objective type) of 02 hours duration and 100 points, as determined by the Commission from time to time.

Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2023, interested and qualified applicants may fill up an Online Recruitment Application (ORA) available on the official website of HPPSC on or before the last date. No other mode of application will not be accepted.
