Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, now the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
• The applicant must have postgraduate degrees in the concerned specialty as mentioned in Part A of Annexure-II or its equivalent qualifications.
• The applicant must have at least 3 years of teaching experience as a lecturer, registrar, demonstrator, or resident after doing post-graduation in the concerned specialty in any recognized medical college.
• The applicant must have an M.D. (Pathology), Ph.D. (Pathology), or D.Sc. (Pathology).

Desirable-

• The applicant must have knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh, suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh, and publication of research papers in Index Journals.

Other Qualification-

• The applicant must hold an M.D.  a Ph.D. (Pathology) or a D.Sc. (pathology) degree.

Selection Procedure for HPPSC Recruitment 2023:
