Post Name and Vacancies for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the eligible and qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the positions of Company Commander, Senior Instructor, Store Officer, or Centre Commander in the Department of Home Guards and Civil Defence. There are 04 vacancies available for the aforementioned positions.

Qualification for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

Referring to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s required qualification is given below:

• The applicants should have passed the Plus (10+2) Examination from a recognized Board of School Education:
• Provided that matriculation and two must be passed from any School/ Institute situated within Himachal Pradesh. AND
• The applicants should be released/retired Armed Forces Personnel who have held the rank of at least Subedar, Master Chief Petty Officer (2nd Class) or Warrant Officer of the Indian Armed Forces. Or
• Candidate should be holding the honorary Rank of Company Commander with a combined service of five years in the honorary rank of Platoon Commander, Senior Platoon Commander and Company Commander in the Home Guards Organization. Or
• The candidates should be regular Civil Defence Instructors/ Chief Instructors/ Platoon Commanders/ Administrative Officers/ Assistant Store Officers, who have served as such for three 03 years in the H.P. Home Guards and Civil Defence Department.

Desirable Qualification-

• The applicants must have knowledge of the customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in Himachal Pradesh.

Age Limitation for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

As stated in the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s age limits are mentioned below:

• The candidate’s lower age limit should be 18 years as on 01-01-2023.
• The candidate’s upper age limit should be 45 years as on 01-01-2023.

Salary for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s salary is given below:

• The chosen candidates for the mentioned positions will be paid a monthly salary of Rs.38500 to Rs.122700.

Application Fee for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

Based on the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the applicants must pay an application fee of up to Rs.400. Male candidates who identify as SC, ST, OBC, or EWS must pay Rs. 100, while male candidates who are ex-servicemen and male candidates from Himachal Pradesh are exempt from paying any fees.

Mode of Selection for HPPSC Recruitment 2024:

According to the official notification of HPPSC Recruitment 2024, the applicant’s selection will be based on a written test (computer-based or offline) and document verification. No T.A. / D.A. will be paid to the candidates appearing for document verification. The details of the exam are listed below:

For Paper- I-

A 01 hour computer-based or offline screening test consisting of 50 questions worth 100 points as follows-

• General knowledge of Himachal Pradesh = 30 Marks
• General knowledge of National and International Affairs= 30 Marks
• Knowledge of the Hindi language = 20 Marks
• Knowledge of the English language = 20 Marks

For Paper-II-

• A descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) (objective type) of 02 hours duration and 100 marks, as determined by the Commission from time to time.
