As per the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the opportunity is opened for the posts of Technical Assistant (Category-III), Technician (Category-I, L-2 and 3) and Driver (Ordinary Grade). There are a total of 14 vacancies available for the mentioned positions.

Qualification for ICFRE Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the required educational qualifications are mentioned below:

For Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Chemistry)-

• The applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering.

For Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Biotechnology)-

• The applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology.

For Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Botany)-

• The applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Botany.

For Technician (Category-I)(Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance)-

• The applicants should have passed 12th standard in Science from a recognized board with at least 01 year ITI certificate in relevant trade or certificate course from a government-recognized institute and should have at least 02 years of experience in the maintenance of woodworking machines and hydraulic machines.

For Technician (Category-I)(Boilerman/ Electrician / Machinist/ Carpenter)-

• The applicants should have Matriculation Passed by a recognized Board with an ITI Certificate in relevant trade or a certificate course from a government recognized Institute.

For Driver (Ordinary Grade)-

• The applicants should have Matriculation from a recognized Board and the candidates should have valid driving licenses for motor cars. Experience of Driving motor cars for 03 years or more.

Desirable:

• The applicants should have knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).

Age Limitation for ICFRE Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the candidates required age limitations are given below:

• Applicants for the position of Technical Assistant (Category II) are required to be between the ages of 21 and 30.
• Applicants applying for the position of Technician (Category-I) must be between the ages of 18 and 30.
• Candidates applying for the position of Driver (Ordinary Grade) must be at least 18 years old and no older than 27 years old.

Salary for ICFRE Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates required monthly salary mentioned below:

• Participants selected for the position of Technical Assistant (Category-II) will be paid at Pay Matrix Level-05 of the 7th CPC.
• Candidates selected for the post of Technician (Category-I) (Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance) will be paid at Pay Matrix Level-03 of the 7th CPC.
• Candidates selected for the post of Technician-I and Driver (Ordinary Grade) will be paid at Pay Matrix Level-02 of the 7th CPC.

Application Fee for ICFRE Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, applicants are required to pay a non-refundable application cost of Rs.1000 (Rs.400 Application fee and Rs.600 Processing fee) by demand draught from any nationalised bank payable in Bengaluru in favour of the Director, Institute of Wood Science and Technology. SC/ST and female candidates are excluded from paying the application fee.

Mode of Selection for ICFRE Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the written examination, a trade examination, and a skill test will be used to choose eligible candidates for the committee. The date and time of the tests will be informed to the shortlisted candidates separately thereafter. There will be no interviews conducted by the selecting committee.
