ICFRE Recruitment 2023: The Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) is inviting interested and eligible candidates for the post of Technical Assistant (Category-III), Technician (Category-I, L-2 and 3) and Driver (Ordinary Grade). As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, there are 14 vacancies for the mentioned position. The educational qualification is different for each post (mentioned below). The candidates selected for the post of Technical Assistant (Category-II) will get a Pay Matrix Level-05 of 7th CPC, the candidates selected for the post of Technician (Category-I)(Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance) will get a Pay Matrix Level-03 of 7th CPC and the candidates selected for the post of Technician-I and Driver(Ordinary Grade) will get a Pay Matrix Level-02 of 7th CPC. The candidates applying for the post of Technical Assistant (Category II) should not be below 21 years and not exceeding 30 years. The candidates applying for the post of Technician (Category-I) should not be below the age of 18 years and not exceeding 30 years. The candidates applying for the post of Driver (Ordinary Grade) should not be below the age of 18 years and not exceeding 27 years.
According to the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the applicable candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination, Trade Examination and skill test conducted by the committee. The date and Time of the examinations will be intimated later on to the shortlisted candidates separately. No interview will be conducted by the committee for the selections. As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, interested and eligible candidates can apply offline by filling out the application form available on the official website of ICFRE and submitting it to the address mentioned below through a proper channel. The candidates have to submit the application form on or before the last date of the submission. The duration of the written exam will be 03 hours.

According to the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the candidates seeking the position of Technical Assistant (Category-II) should be between the ages of 21 and 30. Candidates applying for the position of Technician (Category-I) should be between the ages of 18 and 30. Candidates applying for the position of Driver (Ordinary Grade) must be at least 18 years old and no older than 27 years old.

Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Chemistry):
The candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering.
Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Biotechnology):
The candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology.
Technical Assistant (Category-II)(Botany):
The candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Botany.
Technician (Category-I)(Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance):
The candidates should have passed 12th standard in Science from a recognized board with at least 01 year ITI certificate in relevant trade or certificate course from a government-recognized institute and should have at least 02 years of experience in the maintenance of woodworking machines and hydraulic machines.
Technician (Category-I)(Boilerman/ Electrician/ Machinist/ Carpenter):
The candidates should have Matriculation Passed by a recognized Board with an ITI Certificate in relevant trade or a certificate course from a government recognized Institute.
Driver (Ordinary Grade):
The candidates should have Matriculation from a recognized Board and the candidates should have valid driving licenses for motor cars. Experience of Driving motor cars for 03 years or more.
Desirable:
The candidates should have knowledge of motor mechanisms (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in vehicles).
As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the committee will select eligible candidates based on a written examination, a trade examination, and a skill test. The date and time of the examinations will be communicated separately to the shortlisted candidates later. The selection committee will not conduct any interviews.
As mentioned in the official notification of ICFRE Recruitment 2023, the candidates have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1000 (Rs.400 Application fee and Rs.600 Processing fee) through demand draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of the Director, Institute of Wood Science and Technology Payable at Bengaluru. The application fee is exempted for SC/ ST and Women candidates.
