• A candidate having First Class master’s Degree in Basic Sciences/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Management/ Social Sciences from a recognized University, with 26 years of service with reference to the date of appointment as Group ‘A’ Scientists and who has 15 years experience in Forestry Research/Extension or Education.

Desirable Qualifications: For both members of the Indian Forest Service and Scientists –

• Working experience of Personnel/ Administrative/ Financial matters at senior level in the Government or similar Research/ Educational organization.
• Experience in preparation of budget and its control, maintenance of organizational accounts.
• Conversant with all government Rules and Regulations regarding financial and administrative matters of the Government/ Autonomous bodies including audit of Accounts.

Deputy Director General (Education) ICFRE (HQ), Dehradun –

For Members of the Indian Forest Service –

Essential Qualification –

• A serving member of the Indian Forest Service having completed 26 years of service with reference to year of allotment.

Desirable Qualifications –

• Doctoral Degree
• Experience in Forestry Education and Extension
• Teaching experience in Forestry discipline.

OR

For Scientists –

Essential Qualification –

• A candidate having First Class Masters Degree in Basic Sciences/Agriculture & Allied Sciences from a recognized University with 26 years of service with reference to the date of appointment as Group ‘A’ Scientist and who has 15 years experience in Forestry Research/Extension or Education. The time spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree shall not be counted towards this minimum required experience, unless the Scientist has held charge of a regular post in required fields concurrently.

Desirable Qualifications –

• Doctoral Degree
• Teaching experience in Forestry discipline.
