ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023: The Indian Council of Medical Research National Institute of Research in Tribal Health (ICMR NIRTH) have called in Applications from the Candidates meeting Eligibility for Appointment on the Post Project Scientist-C (Medical) Purely on a Temporary and Contractual Basis.
According to ICMR Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Scientists Locally housed in Chhattisgarh duly meeting the Eligibility Criteria for Project Scientist-C (Medical) for 01 Year, subsequently Extendable may apply.
Only 01 Vacancy of Project Scientist-C (Medical) is to be filled up under the Pay Scale Level 11 (Rs.67700 to 208700) as per the 7th Central Pay Commission is earmarked for Un-Reserved Category Applicant Scientist.
The Last Date in respect of the Candidates Eligible for Project Scientist-C (Medical) is referentially 6th February 2023 (06.02.2023) as the Instantaneous Date has been scheduled for conducting Walk-in Interviews.
Note: Preference in Selection would according to the Local Candidates only.

Appointment Term: Temporary and Contractual for 01 Year vide the ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023.
Project Location: MRHRU (Model Rural Health Research Units) Jheet, Block Patan, District Durg (Chhattisgarh).
Pay Scale: Pay Scale Level 11 (Rs.67700 to 208700) in the Pay Matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission (Refer to the ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023 Notification)
The Candidate should not be exceeding 40 Years (as notified vide this ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023).
*Relaxation in the Age Limit(s) shall remain Applicable to Reserved Community Candidates in compliance with the Government of India Rules.
Departmental Candidates/Candidates working/have worked on the ICMR Institutes/Central Government Project shall be given One-Time Age Relaxation to Maximum 05-Years/completed Months/Year on the basis of Earlier Project Services, whichever being Lesser, provided they meet the Essential Qualification and Experience prescribed for the Project Scientist C Post, with a view to provide them opportunity to compete with other Candidates.
As per the ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Eligible Candidate should fulfill the following Eligibility coupled with the Desirable Qualification including the Post-Qualification Experience.
Essential Qualification coupled with Experience:
Post-Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB) after MBBS with 01-Year’s Experience/Post-Graduate Diploma in the Medical Subjects after MBBS with 02-Years’ Experience/MBBS Degree with 04 Years’ Experience in Medical Subjects after the MBBS Degree.
Desirable Qualification combined with Experience:
i) Experience in Community Medicine/Public Health/Pediatrics/Medicine.
ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications/Data Management.
Preferential: Candidates with Experience/Inclination toward working in Rural Tribal Area will be given Preference.
With reference to the ICR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023 Notification, Selection on Project Scientist C Post shall be carried out on the basis of the Interview and subsequent Merit determined resulting from the Appropriately Suitable Candidate’s Profile Experience among other Criteria involved for Final Selection.
In case of the absence/non-availability of the Un-Reserved Category Candidate, appointment will be conducted from among the Candidates under other Categories as per the recommendations of the ICMR-NIRTH Selection Committee and future vacancy will be filled from the Candidates of Relevant Category/ies.
As per the ICMR-NIRTH Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, The Project Scientist C Position is to be filled purely on Temporary and Contractual Basis Initially for 01-Year (which will be extended Year-to-Year Basis subject to the Incumbent’s Performance based Increments in Salary as Applicable) under the Project entitled MRHRU (Model Rural Health Research Unit).
