As per the official notification of Income Tax Recruitment 2024, there are 02 vacancies open for the post of Superintendent(Admn) and Inspector.

Age Limit for Income Tax Recruitment 2024:

Candidate should not exceed the age of 56 years for applying to Income Tax Recruitment 2024.

Salary for Income Tax Recruitment 2024:

The selected candidates for Income Tax Recruitment 2024 will be provided a monthly salary as stated below-

• The selected candidates for Superintendent(Admn) will be provided a monthly salary on PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 (Grade pay-4600) (Pre-revised) Revised – 44900 and Pay Matrix Level-7.
• The selected candidates for Inspector will be provided a monthly salary PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 (Grade pay – 4600) (Pre-revised) Revised- 35400 and Pay Matrix Level-6.

Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Recruitment 2024:

The required eligibility criteria to apply for Income Tax Recruitment 2024 are listed below-

For Superintendent(Admn)-

Officers under the Central Government Departments or Organisations-

• Officers under the Central Board of Direct Taxes, GST, Customs, Narcotics Department, Directorate of Enforcement and Central Police Organizations.
• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with three years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.5500-9000 (pre-revised). OR
• With six years of regular service in the pay scale of Rs.5000-8000 (pre-revised). And
• The candidate should have 02 years of experience in administration, establishment and accounts matters.

For Inspector-

Officers under the Central Government Organisations: Departments or Eligibility-

• Inspector of Income-tax or Customs and GST (previously Central Excise) or Narcotics (Central Bureau of Narcotics or Narcotics Control Bureau) or Assistant Enforcement Officer or Sub-Inspector of Central Police organization, Central Bureau of Investigation. OR
• Head Clerks or Tax Assistants or Upper Division Clerks of Income- tax, GST (previously Central Excise) and Customs Departments who have qualified in the Departmental Examination for promotion to the grade of Inspector in the respective Departments. Officials with a flair for Income-tax Act, Customs Act, Foreign Exchange Maintenance Act and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act will be given preference.

Tenure for Income Tax Recruitment 2024:

The appointment is made on a deputation basis and the candidates who are selected for Income Tax Recruitment 2024 will be engaged for a period of 03 years, but extendable up to 07 years. The selected candidates will be assigned to work in the office of the Competent Authority SAFEM(FOP)A and NDPSA, Chennai.
