India Post Recruitment 2022: In the Ministry of Communication, India Post fills up one vacancy of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) in the Department of Posts. Pay Scale is Level 2 (Rs.19900 to Rs.63200). Staff Car Driver is a Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial and Group C Post in General Central Service. As per the official recruitment notification, the candidates’ selection will be based on as per said in the notification of India Post. The advertisement issued date is 18th August 2022 and last date to apply is 26th September 2022.

Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years on the closing date for receipt of applications.

The Scale of Pay: Level 2 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.19900 to Rs.63200) {Pre­revised Pay Band-1 of Rs. 5200 to 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900}.

Educational Essential and Other Qualifications:

(i) Possession of a valid Driving License for motor cars;

(ii) Knowledge of motor mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle);

(iii) Experience of driving a motor car for at least 3 years, and

(iv) Pass in 10th standard.

Desirable: 3 years’ service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.

Method of Appointment and Eligibility:

Deputation/ Absorption: From amongst the regular Despatch Rider (Group C) and Group C employees in Level I in the pay matrix in the Department of Posts, who possess valid Driving License for Motor Cars on the basis of a Driving Test to assess the competence to drive Motor Cars, failing which from officials holding the post of Despatch Rider on a regular basis or regular Group C employees in Level 1 in other Ministries of the Central Government who fulfill the necessary qualifications.

Deputation or Re-employment for Armed Forces Personnel:

The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications prescribed shall also be considered. Such persons would be given deputation terms up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

How to Apply: The eligible and interested officials of the Department of Posts and other Ministries/Departments in the Central Government, whose services can be spared immediately after selection, may forward their application, through the proper channel, in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II) to this department latest by 26.09.2022. While forwarding the application, it may be certified that no vigilance case is either pending or being contemplated against the applicant.

The application received after the last date or incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
