Applications are invited for the posts of Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade), Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled), Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport (Cleaner/Sweeper/Chowkidar) and Unskilled Labour. According to the official notification of Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2023, there are a total of 10 vacancies for the given post.

• Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)- 04 (02 for UR, 01 for OBC and 01 for EWS)
• Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled)- 01 (01 for OBC)
• Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport Cleaner)- 01 (01 for UR)
• Multi Tasking Staff (Sweeper)- 01 (01 for OBC)
• Multi Tasking Staff (Chowkidar)- 01 (01 for UR)
• Unskilled Labour- 01 (01 for UR and 01 for SC)

Age Limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2023, the age limit is given below-

For UR- Candidates between the age of 18 to 27 years can apply.

For OBC- Candidates between the age of 18 to 30 years can apply.

Age relaxation-

• 5 years age relaxation for SC category candidates
• 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates

Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

As per the official notification of Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2023, the candidate must have passed class 10th or have done matriculation or equivalent.

Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)-

• 10th standard pass
• Must possess valid driving licence for both heavy and light Motor Vehicles.

Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled)-

• Matriculation or equivalent.
• Should have successfully completed apprenticeship from a recognised /reputed workshop in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) under Apprentice Act, 1961 or under any other recognised Apprenticeship scheme. OR Should have completed training courses in the relevant trade (Sheet Metal Worker) from an ITI recognised for this purpose and have 1 year trade experience. OR 4 years experience in the trade for which no training is available in the Industrial Training Institutes or other recognised institutions.
• Should qualify a trade entrance examination.

Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport (Cleaner/Sweeper/Chowkidar)-

• Matriculation or equivalent pass.
• Experience- Two years experience in cleanship in any recognised firm.

Unskilled Labour-

• Matriculation pass or its equivalent from recognised board or ITI from recognised institution.
• Experience- Three years experience in the trade

Salary for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of Indian Coast Guard recruitment 2023, the selected candidate will be given a monthly salary in level 1 or 2 of the pay matrix.

Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade) and Sheet Metal Worker (Skilled)- The selected candidate will be given a monthly salary in level 2 of the pay matrix.

Multi Tasking Staff (Motor Transport (Cleaner/Sweeper/Chowkidar) and Unskilled Labour- The selected candidate will be given a monthly salary in level 1 of the pay matrix.

Selection Procedure for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023:

All the applications received will be shortlisted on the basis of qualification and shortlisted candidates will be called for the written test and document verification.

Shortlisting of Applications- All the applications received will be shortlisted on the basis of qualification and experience.

Written examination- The written examination will be pen-paper based and one hour duration. The Question paper (bilingual) for written examination will consists of 80 objective type questions with one mark for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking

Document Verification- All the shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification prior appearing in the written examination.
