Post Name and Vacancies for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024, there are 70 vacancies open for the post of Assistant Commandant in General Duty (GD), Technical (Mechanical) and Technical (Electrical/ Electronics) Branches.

Age Limit for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The age limit to apply for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 is listed below-

• Candidate should have a minimum age of 21 years as on the date of 01.07.2024.
• Candidate should have a maximum age of 25 years as on the date of 01.07.2024.

Training Period for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The candidates who are selected for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 will be assigned for training at INA Ezhimala to undergo a Naval Orientation Course for 44 weeks followed by ab initio training at various training establishments/ units/ ships of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.

Qualification for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

Candidates must have the required qualification for applying to Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 as mentioned below-

For General Duty (GD)-

• The applicant must hold a degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
• The applicant must have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to Intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after the diploma, are also eligible, provided they possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

For Technical (Mechanical)-

• The applicant must hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial and Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR
• The applicant must have an equivalent qualification in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• The applicant must have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. The candidates who have completed graduation after the diploma, are also eligible, provided they should possess an aggregate of 55% marks in the diploma with physics and mathematics in its curriculum.

For Technical (Electrical/ Electronics)-

• The applicant must hold an Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation and Control or Electronics and Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. OR
• The applicant must have equivalent qualifications in any of the above disciplines recognized by the Institutes of the Engineers (India) as exempted from sections ‘A’ and ‘B’ and their associate membership examination (AMIE).
• The applicant must have mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of the 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in Mathematics and Physics. Salary for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

Based on the official notification of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024, the chosen candidates will get a monthly salary on pay scales for the various ranks as per the 7th CPC as follows-

Examination Fee for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The application fee is Rs.300 as to apply for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024. The SC/ST candidates are not required to pay an application fee. The payment will be made online mode through using net banking or by using  Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI. Admit cards will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee or who are entitled to a waiver of the examination fee.

Selection Process for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024:

The candidates will be selected for Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 on the basis of an all-India order of merit which is based on the performance of candidates in various stages (I – V) of examination and the number of vacancies available for the post. It is required to pass Stages I, II, III, IV, and V in order to be hired by the ICG. During the exam, all applicants will be required to submit biometrics, photo identification, and document verification.
