IRCTC Recruitment 2023: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) East Zone in Kolkata is looking for Apprentice Trainees under the Apprenticeship Act-1961 in Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) on a contractual basis for a period of 1 year. The applicant must have completed their matriculation with at least 50% marks. Candidates for the position of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) must have completed their 10th grade with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. A candidate must have an ITI certificate affiliated with NCVT/SCVT. The chosen candidate will be posted in Kolkata. According to the IRCTC Recruitment announcement, there are a total of 25 vacancies.
The online application period will end on 12th January 2023. The candidate will be chosen based on the percentage of marks obtained in the matriculation exam. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should apply on the official website.
As per the official notification of IRCTC recruitment 2023, the vacancies are open for the posts of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA). There are a total of 25 vacancies for the given post.
The candidate should have completed 15 years and should not have completed 25 years as on 01.04.2022. (Relaxation to SC/ST-5 yrs. OBC-3 yrs.,Ex-Serviceman-10 yrs., Differently abled-10 yrs)
As per the Official Notification of IRCTC Recruitment 2023, the candidate should have possessed the following qualifications as on 01.04.2022
Educational Qualification: Passed Matriculation Examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board
Technical Qualifications: ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT/SCVT is compulsory in COPA trade
As per the official notification of IRCTC Recruitment Selected candidates engaged as Apprentices will be paid a stipend during the training at the following prescribed rate as per extant rules:-

Technician apprentice or diploma holder in any stream or Sandwich Course (Students from Degree Institutions) | Rs. 8000 per month |
Graduates apprentices or degree apprentices or degree in any stream | Rs. 9000 per month |
i. Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation examination. In the case of a grading system of marking then the average of the highest and lowest marks will be taken.
ii. In case of two applicants are having the same marks applicants with having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, then the applicants who passed the matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first. There will be no written test or viva.
iii. Final selection of applicants would be subject to verification of original testimonials.
iv. Candidates in the Stand-by list will be offered to join only on receipt of details of absentees
and rejected candidates from the Merit list.
v. The offers will be issued strictly in the order of Merit.
vi. The tentative schedule will be advised through e-mail only. Applicants are advised to be in readiness at short notice to report to the concerned office for Document/Certificate Verification.
